love my tfv4 BUT the dual RBA is consistently giving me a plastic taste....burnt plastic.

its gotten better since i have rewicked...running a dual 24g/36g clapton build (last build was a fused 2x 26g /36g clapton) and im having a weird taste every hit...no dry hits i can build an RBA in my sleep and shes vaping perfectly...perfect vapor, temp, density...but i have this weird taste.

my last build (fused clapons, see above) taste great, better than even the quad coil!

i know my last build melted the insulator a bit (anybody else have this issue?) i tried to take it apart but guess what... PRESS FITTED!

come on smok...being a diesel tech for so long i know ways around this but still the average user will be screwed if they burn the insulator up!

no using the same insulator im getting this taste on my new build. i have 3/4 wraps on each coil (3 full 2 half wraps, not 3 quarter of a wrap lol) with fresh cotton and its getting better slowly but not slow enough it feels like a contaminated cotton (not totally out of question though)

does the insulator material break down? i see no new melting but could it be releasing gasses?

the juice im using is Maskervape Peachy cobbler and on my RDAs using same cotton no weird taste...

the 180 ml of milkman threw this tank never had this plastic/burnt taste and with the same juice i had no issues on the quad coil. im vaping at .4ohms 70watts and it seems as the watts get higer the taste goes away slightly....hmm could this juice just taste better at higher watts? goes against everything ive seen so far but now im just taking shots at the dark.

anybody have any similar issues?

i see a lot of reddit posts about people having similar taste issues with the dual RBA
