TFV4 Mini - Surprisingly Amazing

image.jpeg I guess it comes as no surprise to those that own it but I've been very impressed by this tank. I, like a lot of others on this forum love to try out different tanks but I've avoided the TFV4 because quite honestly I thought it was gimicky. The sheer size and cost of the coils seemed almost cartoonish to me, leaving me to doubt the preformance. Last week I noticed one for sale on this forum for $18 shipped so I figured with little to loose I might as well see what all the fuss is about.

This is only my second day using the tank and so far, I'm very impressed. The vapor production and flavor is above and beyond any other tank I own or have tried out. It only came with one coil, which I believe is the duel Clapton (.35) and at 70-80 watts it's a very enjoyable vape.

Some things I don't like about the tank is the hinged top cap which seems weak to me, the gasket fill system and the rate at which it burns through juice. I also think the vape bands just look silly on it but since this will mostly be regulated to night stand duty, It won't be used it.

The B&M near me sells the coils separately so I plan on picking up a few different ones and figuring out which work the best for me. So far I know I love the Clapton and want to try out the stainless steel and Ti options. So a few questions I have...

- Has anyone used the Ti coils? I don't see many people really talking about titanium these days so I won't be surprised if no has.

- How do the SS coils work in temp mode and what wattage and temp are you using them in?

- What coils are your favorite and what do you recommend. I'm kind of weary of the multiple coils in one deal but if they come highly recommend, I'll give one a try.

What problems if any have you had with the tank? I have heard of leak issues with the full size but as I understand it the mini solved those issues.

Thanks and I'm looking forward to reading responses.

I like the tri coil .41 ohms, at 70 watts power mode it's a juice chucker but the flavor is on point.... The only con I have with the MINI are the replacement coils,5 for 20 bucks, and the RBA the comes with it, I haven't really build on the RBA, but when I get a time for it I will do some claps on it around .5

Love the tfq4 coils, they have been the best for me next to the tft3 coils, I want to try the new beast coils but haven't found a good price yet. Only leakage I have had is it gets some seepage out of the little swivel hinge for the top but no big deal. I use the rebuildables too, the single coil is my fave and the dual is awesome just harder to wick.

All in all its a great tank and I'm pretty spoiled, I really haven't been looking at any other tanks.....

Averaging about 2 weeks on the coils, sometimes longer depending on juice.

I'll try those out. 70'ish watts seems about right for the clapton's as well. The coils are expensive but I don't plan on using it enough to where I'm burning through them

I usually replace my coil after 2-3 weeks, even if it still seems to be ok.

I did get a single coil rebuildable with it that I plan on trying out. I suck at wicking but it seems easy enough.

I love all my TFV4's...Fullsize, Mini and Micro...The Micro just does something for me the other 2 dont and the SS Coils for it are AMAZING

Is the tank available to purchase separately or do I have to buy the whole kit?

The mini is great. Few little things though. If you want to go 100w+ grab the fullsize, the mini heats up rather quickly. Also, you may have some initial leaking issues, there's a review online that goes over it but clipping the lip off the top fill gasket can help with that. Personally I just took my Mini out of retirement yesterday, it was sitting with a full tank for 3+ weeks with airflow closed. No leaking at all, no issues at all, cleared the tank and it vaped perfectly the whole time (used the clapton quad core I think it was at 100w, didn't give it time to heat up just a few puffs while I walked around the outside of my shop to the back rather than through).

Anyways, info I would have liked to know initially, though once I got everything figured out it's a great tank, I had forgotten how big of clouds it blows.

I am using the duel Clapton and have taken a few puffs here and there at 90 watts but generally keep it at 70-80 watts. So I have not experienced a really hot tank or leaking (so far). With so many mods and tanks around I like to assign them little roles. The TFV4 has become my post dinner Teleos tank as no other tank has ever done their juice so much justice. If it didn't guzzle juice the way it does I'd probably use it a lot more. Once I start DIY'ing and have expendable juice, it will be my go to tank.

How are the micro's flavor wise? Any noticable difference? I have the mini and prefer the .35 claptons, but I have the airflow 3/4 closed and hate the whistle type loud air noise. Any more is too much for me. I don't know, really good flavor to me, just not a comfortable draw for me that I have found yet.,Either too much air or like sucking hard through through a straw with a whole in it. I'm a flavor junkie, which is why I wanted it, but intermediate airflow. Half open on the crown tanks is perfect for me. Just ordered a Vengeance, really hoping it will be the "one"...lol

Its not much difference in flavor or vapor but its size is very similar to a Goblin Mini...yes its that tiny..The Micro's airflow is about the same as the fullsize with the quad coils with both micro coils I tried (SS ad Fused Clapton coils)

The Micro has "mtl" type coils, last I checked they weren't out yet but in production. That might be what you're looking for. Internal airflow restrictions means that tighter draw without the whistle (and IMO a better draw too). Again not sure if they're available.

I didnt receive any MTL coils with my Micro TFV4, just some .2 and .5 Ohm coils and one stainless coilhead...
I know the Mini Backup Kit changes the Mini TFV4 to a Micro Size and provides those coils though.

I received the first 2 coilheads with mine, but there are others:
