The trailer for the 25th season of the globally popular animation raises the stakes by teasing new challenges, goals, and plenty of thrills for Ash and his travelling companions as the Pokemon World Coronation Series tournament heats up. According to the official synopsis, "intensive training is in store for Ash, Pikachu and their Pokemon friends."

"Goh embarks on a series of challenging trial missions to become a member of Project Mew," it adds. "And as Chloe and Eevee learn about the different evolutionary paths that Eevee can take, will they be able to come to a decision about its future? Get ready for nonstop action, familiar faces from journeys past and more Pokémon discoveries to be made!"

Pokemon Ultimate Journeys: The Series will make its US streaming debut on Netflix later this year. In the meantime, fans can look forward to the imminent release of Pokémon: Hisuian Snow, a new anime miniseries that takes place in the same locale as the franchise's hit videogame Pokémon Legends: Arceus. The series will debut its first episode on May 18.
