Warning: Full spoilers follow for the episode below.
After last week's stellar "I'll Never Be Batman" episode, there was a pretty high bar set for this week's episode of The Brink. So you can't fault the writers entirely for producing a bit of a filler episode, in which nothing really happened.
The excitement over Z-Pak and Jammer's potential hostage situation, which served as the cliffhanger, was quickly wrapped when Z-Pak showed them just who was boss, with the help of a little dunce-cap acting from Jammer, of course. Reading the riot act to the gun-wielding fanatics was humorous, for sure, but it seemed that the duo really escaped that situation a little too easily. Where were the rest of the gun-happy men's cohorts? There was a missed opportunity to see what the duo would have been like as captives, however consider we've already seen another goofy character, Alex Talbot, undergo that same situation, I do appreciate the desire to shift the storyline.
