The title of this episode poses a question to which viewers already know the answer. Harrison Wells is actually Eobard Thawne - time traveler, body thief, and a man willing to go to extreme pains to harness the Speed Force and return to his own time. The real questions are what Thawne’s endgame is and whether any of the decency and humanity we’ve seen him exhibit over the course of this season is genuine. This episode didn’t tackle those questions, but it did help our heroes play catch up with the audience. Between that and the surprisingly entertaining conflict with a shape-shifting supervillain, it proved to be another memorable week.
