FOX have cancelled The Following. The Kevin Williamson-created series, starring Kevin Bacon, will wrap up its third season in a couple of weeks, but won't be returning to the network for the 2015-2016 season.
While the show debuted to strong numbers for FOX two years ago, its audience had dwindled since, and it was looking increasingly unlikely it would return for another season.
Earlier today, reports surfaced that Warner Bros., who produce the series, were looking at options to find a new home for the show. However, despite some saying Hulu was interested, multiple outlets now say that is not the case.
UPDATE: FOX have also cancelled Backstrom, reports THR. The quirky crime series, starring Rainn Wilson, had struggled since it began earlier this year.
