IGN has your exclusive first look at the new trailer for The Inhabitant, an upcoming horror thriller from Jerren Lauder, director of 2020’s Stay Out of the F**king Attic.

You can watch the trailer – which features music by social media star and YouTuber Rebecca Parham – in the player above or via the embed below.

Written by Kevin Bachar, The Inhabitant follows Tara (Odessa A'zion), described by the film’s official synopsis as “a teenage descendant of Lizzie Borden who is caught between paranoid visions and festering schizophrenia amid a series of small-town murders.”

Lizzie Borden of Fall River, Massachusetts was charged with allegedly killing her father and stepmother with a hatchet in August 1892. Borden’s highly publicized trial cemented her place in infamy even though she was acquitted.

Odessa A'zion is no stranger to the horror genre having previously starred in 2019’s Let’s Scare Julie and is soon to be seen in the next Hellraiser movie. A'zion’s credits also include Grand Army, Fam, and Wayne.

Lauder’s ensemble cast also includes Leslie Bibb (Iron Man, Talladega Nights) and Dermot Mulroney (Hanna, The Righteous Gemstones) as Tara’s parents. Lizze Broadway (who will appear in Prime Video’s upcoming spinoff of The Boys) plays Tara's jealous best friend, Suzy, while Michael Cooper Jr. plays Tara's college-bound beau.

Steelyard Pictures' Leone Marucci and RU Robot's Petr Jakl (the director of the upcoming historical action epic Medieval) produced The Inhabitant. Executive Producers include Ara Keshishian, Martin J. Barab, and Scott Macfarland. The movie was filmed in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The Inhabitant will open in late 2022.
