Naughty Dog's Neil Druckman revealed new details about the long-awaited standalone multiplayer game set in The Last of Us world during today's Summer Game Fest showcase.
Originally supposed to be a multiplayer mode for The Last of Us Part 2, it evolved into something beyond that over the last two years. "This game is big," Druckman said. "It's as big as any of our single-player games that we've done, and in some ways bigger."
Alongside the concept art above, Druckman confirmed it will have an actual story, though he also said "the way we're telling that story is very unique to this game." It will have "a brand new cast of characters" as well,
While a name and gameplay wasn't shown, Druckman said more details would be coming next year.
