Pedro Pascal has been cast in the upcoming Star Wars TV series, The Mandalorian, which will be streaming on Disney's new service, Disney+, according to Variety.
Pascal had been rumored for the part, but sources said multiple actors were being considered and nothing was confirmed. Sources close to Variety have now said negotiations are underway and Pascal has officially been offered the role.
Jon Favreau's series is set after the ending of the Empire and before the First Order comes to be what we know it as today. He previously announced that it will take place after Jango and Boba Fett's stories, and will focus on a "lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy," and will be far from the New Republic's authority.
