Hi guys as we all know, soon after most rda s come out now there is a mini version of it,(since the derringer came out, everthings a mini, rba/ rtas) does anyone find them better than the original? I'm thinking of getting the a new rda (again) the Velocity but seen the mini version and was wondering has anyone tried the mini? Also any recommendations on a great all around rda that's recently come out, thanks again peeps

I like them because the original versions of themselves you would need to build ridiculously low to achieve a very warm vape. Now I can build at a more moderate amount and get the same vape, some of the revisions are actually a improvement if you ask me.
Some great mini RDA's-Derringer, Stumpy, Mad Hatter are my favorites so far....Looking into the Lepton and Mikro next...

Mini RDA'S for mini devices ! Wouldn't want a huge RDA on a small device, would look funny. Anyway just my opinion

see, now me being an ancient relic with old tired eyes, I prefer not to have to get a 50x magnifier to see what I am doing.. the 25x one is bad enough... just saying
*ponders on if this whole new mini thing is just some guy trying to get a dialog going that "smaller is better"* ;)

Mini RDAs aren't new, by a long shot. The recent trend the OP is talking about is really about *low-profile* RDAs: these things are 22 mm in diameter, and therefore no harder to rebuild than any full-size 22 mm RDA.

What I call a mini RDA is a 14 mm atomizer or smaller, like the A7 and other such squonker atomizers: now those are tiny and require +3 reading glasses to rebuild :)

Yes I will agree, but was refering to rda s that release these a shorter chambered version comes after its release of the originals. Would not even consider a God awful 14mm, but maybe would slap it on a sigelei 150w or a God mod just for shits n giggles

A 14mm RDA would look funny as hell on the Hammer of God box...It may not even be noticeable sitting on top

Don't Mini RDAs have a smaller juice well?

I like that mini velocity. I'd be nice if the short cap would work on the standard well.

There are two uses of the word "Mini" going on here. The OP used both but his actual question had to do with mini versions of an existing product. The only pair I own are the Mad Hatter clones and they're made by different companies. One by EHPro, the other by Tobeco, I'd need to find the little boxes, or dig in to see where I bought them to find out which is by who. That said... oddly the Minis have a deeper well than the full size. But they made the posts shorter (for the shorter top cap) and that may have allowed the space to keep the interior bottom lower and the inner rail higher. Dunno. Glad for it though.

Someone with matched authentics or even clones can address whether they sometimes change the design when they shorten the height.

My well comment above though, had to do with the generic use of "Mini"... that being the tiny originals like the Derringer, the Lepton and Mikro mentioned upthreaad, I have a little Bonsai that might count. I meant it would be nice to keep the well as deep as possible (or in some cases... existent at all) on the tiny RDAs.

Sometimes it can be done, sometimes it can't.

Didn't know that! Thanks!

I still have an iGo-s in my vape box. That might be the original "mini" RDA.

I am thinking of getting a freakshow mini. Is there anything that has come out since the freakshow mini that provides comparable flavor? I can't beat the price point for the freakshow and the flavor is what I find myself chasing lately.
