So, sometimes.. Those test batches we make.. Just don't turn out right. I'm not saying total trash, just not right. Something I wouldn't choose to vape. Ever really, but I'm drinking, and I hate wasting. So it's take care of the trash night. Every other tank I fill brings me closer to a new bottle to mix in.

For me it's never a total loss, I'm off the cigs. And I learned

What does everyone else do with their mistakes?

As long as I still like the flavor, I will vape it anyway.
Or try to dilute it with vg and add something else to somewhat mask the flavor and make it taste better if it's iffy.

If tastes horrible, I let it sit in my closet for a few months to see if steeping helps but if not, I dump it.

Yeah, that's the way I prioritized at one time ....

Many of us got on track by following highly-rated recipes by experienced DIYers to determine how flavorings combine, complementing and enhancing one another. After a while, the creative process kicks in at which point you'll find your intuition trustworthy and your creations drool-worthy. Stay with it, you'll get there.

Regarding those not-so-tasty creations, if time doesn't heal 'em, shit-can 'em. Figure out what didn't work and move on. Concentrate on your successes.

I'm reminded of the saying, "Try. Fail. Try again. Fail better."

^^second this. If you make a mistake try to add a little something and make it vapeable at least

I used to add 10 drops of CAP NY Cheesecake to anything that was Meh.
Helped save a few from going down the drain, but not all.

I mix everything in 10ml or 15ml samples on the first round. If I have a couple that didn't turn out right in similar flavor families I will mix the two together and try that. Some have been downright unusable and those get dumped. I'm dumping maybe .25c worth tops? Far better than the tons of vendor juices $20~ I dumped over the years lol

Hmmm. I never thought of diluting and the adding a bit more flavoring.

I'm typically close enough that it is vape' ble. There are a few that are missing the mark. Those are are my test batches and at 15mls when in doubt give it two more weeks to steep. Occasionally you find a mix that needs a lot of time to mellow in one flavor area to allow the supporting flavor notes to come alive to make a mix.

Right now I am mixing things like zen garden (dirt and oregano ) and ylang with peper and other notes (flowers and spice). They don't come out just right. But I know if I keep mixing with it there is something magical that will happen.

Right? At the time i totally forgot i could "water it down" and its just a handful of 10 ml. One failed experiment was a way over shot of a substitute flavor from an idea i was toying around with. I can roulghly balance that out when i play in my toy box.

@Heabob thats what i did to a to one last night with out really thinking about it, threw it in a box to check out next weekend.

on the plus side 2 mixes taste pretty good, and they are almost done. so i'm happy with that.

You know that one certain individual, the one that NEVER has any ejuice, and always begs some off of you? Take your most horrible creations, mix em in a 30 ml bottle, and give it to them. Gets rid of the gnarly creations AND that person will never ask for ejuice again :D

P.S. in all seriousness, I just dump mine, but I've rarely had to do that.
