Nvidia's flagship GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card is finally available without a price markup. Walmart currently has the PNY GeForce RTX 5090 OC 32GB graphics card for $1,999.00 with free delivery. This is sold by Walmart itself and not a marketplace vendor. The RTX 5090 GPU has an MSRP of $1,999, but the cost to own one soared to as high as $3,500 when it was first released. Since then prices have been dropping steadily, and in recent days I've seen them commonly sold for about $2,200-$2,500. Finding one at actual MSRP, however, has still been a challenge.

PNY GeForce RTX 5090 32GB OC Graphics Card for $1,999

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 has emerged as the most powerful consumer GPU on the market. Although with this generation Nvidia has prioritized software updates, AI features, and DLSS 4 technology to improve gameplay performance, the 5090 still boasts an impressive 25%-30% uplift over the RTX 4090 in hardware-based raster performance. If you want the absolute best performance for your gaming PC, there is literally no other option from any other brand.

The 5090 is also the gold standard for anyone who works with AI doesn't want to get a workstation graphics card. That's because it has 32GB of VRAM, the most of any consumer graphics card. The RTX 4090, by comparision, has 24GB of older GDDR6 VRAM and the RTX 5080 has even less at 16GB of GDDR7 VRAM. A dedicated Nvidia workstation card has even more memory, but they are also egregiously expensive (several thousand dollars) and not meant for gamers.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 FE Review by Jackie Thomas

"The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 has officially taken the performance crown from the RTX 4090, but with less force than previous generations. When it comes to traditional non-AI gaming performance, the RTX 5090 provides one of the smallest generational uplifts in recent memory. However, in games that support it, DLSS 4 really does deliver huge performance gains – you just have to make your peace with the fact that 75% of the frames are generated with AI."
