This week I review the The Smok TF-RTA atomiser.

Full review is here

Here is an excerpt for you to enjoy.

Smok have invested a lot of time into their TF series of atomisers, and now they introduce the TF-RTA variant of rebuildable atomisers.

The device comes in familiar Smok packaging.

Nested inside the top of the box is our new atomiser and a spare glass tank.

Spares also include a generous collection of extra o-rings, an Allen key for coil building deck and a vape band to protect your device.
Additionally you have a user guide and warranty card.

Here we have our new Smok TF-RTA atomiser.
It is a 24.5mm diameter device with a liquid capacity of 4.5ml.
It is 65mm long and weighs 85grams without liquid.

As we have seen in previous TF series atomisers, the Smok TF-RTA atomiser has a glass inner to the drip tip which is to protect your lips from the heat that can build up in the atomiser.
It is a standard size drip tip and can be replaced with any other standard drip tip from your collection.

Thank you for the feedback OneBadWolf, delighted you are enjoying it as well.
Did you go for the G2 dual or the G4 quad?
I love the large build deck, show us a rebuild pic if you like :)

I got the G2. I put 3mm 8 wrap 26 gauge SS coils in it @ 0.3 ohm. I'll probably get the G4 deck, but I really hope Smok will come out with a single coil deck, as I use spaced 4mm 22 gauge 304 SS build in my TFV4, and my Lemo V2.5. (a Lemo2 that I enlarged the AFC, centerpin holes, juice channels and put slots over the juice channels in the deck shroud.

The 4mm 22 gauge single coil build is my fave. Lots of vapor, exellent taste and power consumption is good. Sweet spot about 40-45, but in both the TFV4 and Lemo 2.5 I've chain vaped it at 85watts just to test it.

I re-wick at least once a day, and a single coil with a 4mm ID takes no time at all to re-wick. No threading needles, just aim the cotton in the general direction of the coil, and it will make it through no prob.

The TF-RTA is like a giant top fill Goliath V2, one of my favorite tanks. I really like airy tanks, but the TF-RTA is right at the limit of being too airy for me. I had to lower the coils over the air holes, and actually close off the AFC some.

I also prefer the G2 to the G4, though I agree a single coil (especially that allowed vertical builds) would be a great addition to the series.
