Writer Jason Aaron, along with artist Russell Dauterman, has been building toward the reveal of the female Thor's identity for eight issues, and last week we learned that it was none other than Jane Foster, Thor's former lover interest and longstanding supporting cast member.
For those who need a recap, know that Nick Fury whispered something in Thor's ear last year during Original Sin, and whatever he said caused Thor to become "unworthy," therefore losing the power to wield his mystical hammer Mjolnir. Now known as Odinson, he travels via a chariot pulled by his flying rams, wears a tattered red cape, and uses the god-killing Jarnborn axe for a weapon.
