Therion bf7c battery drain question

Hey all. I picked up a Therion BF 75c the other day and have been using it a bit the last two days. It drains the battery ungodly fast...yet it doesn't really drain the battery. I can see it shoot 5% a puff at times. I just had it drain down to 20%. Took the battery out and tossed on charger and it was at 3.8v. Wondering if I am missing something? All I did with the thing was toss a new theme on it. Checked battery portion on escribe and it states that it's set up for 18650 li-ion...

Any tips are appreciated!

Well, the Evolv also likes settings for battery mAH, and I think you can even set the cut-off voltage, iirc. I know I had to twiddle the battery settings to reflect fresh charged vtc5a & 25R's - it took a few tries.

Another thing to check is your atty..

I know I got almost 3 days of life out of an Sx-mini M-class (single cell) - to/at/from work.. Similarly, I can get multiple days with my vt133's. I use single-coils of anywhere from .4 to 1.2Ω. At 17 to 20w, I can get 2-3 days... The Gbox is currently sporting a pair of duals, but .4Ω with 30awg, at around 30w, and should last another day as well.

I will have to play around and go from there. Thank you

Any idea what settings work for you with 25rs? I have had zero luck. I get "check battery" and "weak battery" non stop and it doesn't matter which battery I try.

Loading up Escribe, I loaded a vt133 profile. You'll be wanting to download - and save - your old profile.

Mod->Battery...
  1. Select 1 cell, (li poly)
  2. hit "Watt Hour Calculator"
  3. select Cell Soft Cutoff, (I use 2.8v)
  4. select Charging Mode, (I use 'Maximize Puffs')
  5. Max Peak and Sustained is set to 24A
  6. Upload the changes
Now, I have also run the entire battery test:
Bear in mind, all the boards below 200w are less efficient, but only the C models apparently can use "Replay", (RUMINT - I have no experience with it).

It wouldn't really suprise me if you need to run the test again.

With the Escribe for DNA75c I don't have many of those selections.

This is all I have to choose from.

Hmm.. Well, granted I run the Linux version - but...

Under menu OPTIONS->User Interface - select Advanced.

The linux version seems to ignore Researcher and Manufacturer, and I don't want to crank up Vbox today.

I set the interface to see more. Got a csv file for a 25r from an evolv forum and going to try it like that first and then go from there.

I get a great vape from a dual coil nudge rda but battery life is really awful. Might just have to stick to single coil atties on this unless I figure it out.

20 puffs at 65 watts and battery is too low to fire... and I have run this .25ohm build on other single batts without issues like this.

Oh, on the 75c? Yes. "It Is Known" that it has less than stellar battery life. Myself, I am fond of single-coil atty and RDA. Almost no duals in my arsenal anymore.

Even on my vt133's - DNA200, dual cell - I prefer a single-coil 3:1 over dual - I can get two days and at least 3 tanks out of the singles. When I want duals, that godrotted Boreas v2 clone is my current choice - great flavor, shit capacity, and the o-rings don't stop the pyrex from weeping.

On the SX-mini m-class, I am getting 3 days on one cell, using Monster v2 and Hussar mini-tank clones with single coil and about ohh... 0.5...1Ω - turning it on, vaping/driving to work, short breaks vaping, vaping driving home, turning it off.. about 3ml/day.

Basically, I just vape higher "sub" or modest ohms on regulated. Duals automatically eat more battery-life. I just wish I could find a single-coil RTA tank with more airflow than the taifin gt 3, Monster v2, Rose v3 and Hussar..
