Therion DNA 75 Owners?

Hi everyone

Ive had a Therion DNA 75w mod for a couple of days now and so far I'm pretty happy with it. Feels like a quality piece of kit, great battery life, and looks pretty sweet.

There is one issue and I was hoping to get some feedback from other Therion owners.

The issue is with putting in and taking out the batteries. I usually do this every morning and Ive found that it's really difficult to put them in and take them out. So far Ive torn the wrapping of two batteries when taking out the inner battery. Batteries are still usable but it's annoying and this should be easy to do and not feel like I'm fighting with the mod.

Have you guys found a way to do this nice and smoothly? Any tips would be much appreciated.

Thanks - happy Sunday

I do NOT have this mod however if it is anything like the Vapmod Spartans where that third battery is impossible to get to;
I cut a business card down to about 1 inch wide and use it kind of like a shoe horn on top of the battery.
This prevents the wrap from being torn.
Maybe it'd work for you as well.
Although this SHOULDN'T be a requirement.
Designers need to go back to work on it.

Thanks, I'll give that a try. This is really annoying and it shouldnt be this way. It's completely ruining the mod for me and honestly, as nice as it is I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. You have to change batteries almost everyday so how this essential part of user experience can be overlooked is frankly beyond me.

This last week has been tough. Between a mod dying on me, leaking tanks and this I'm seriously considering going back to just smoking cigs and selling all this stuff. In my one month of vaping Ive spent more than treble what I would have on cigs and while I feel better I cannot say the overall experience has been worth it.

Hang with it mate. I was fortunate enough 4 months ago to start with an ijust2 which was a good starter. Got a rx200s now but was looking at the therion or skar as my next

Thanks man. I'll keep going for now but my patience is being tested.

The Therion is such a beautiful mod but the battery thing is such a huge drawback that i just cant recommend it to anyone else. Try it out but look at other options as well.

The problem I have is I have to import any I want so can't actually handle it before hand. The Skar looks interesting though

It looks very cool but it's similar size to the Therion. Check some reviews and opinions first but sometimes they don't always use it enough to go into little issues like the battery thing. Only one Therion review even mentioned it and Ive watched nearly all of them.

Anyway good luck!

If you want to smoke cigs I would be happy to make an offer on your therion.

Try pushing the battery down on the spring loaded contact when you are taking out the inside battery

Ok, not selling just yet so hang in there!

I do charge on my laptop or plug sometimes so the battery lasts all day but i prefer changing in the morning. Anyway, isnt it bad to leave the mod plugged in overnight? Thought i read somewhere that this wasn't advised.

It's fine. The Dna board has the best/safe onboard charging of any mod made:cheers:

You can set it in escribe to show you individual battery voltages while it's charging which is nice

Keep the battery as parallel to the box as possible when inserting and make sure the ribbons underneath them or itll be near imposssible to get them out. it gets easier with time

Thanks man - I think I've got the hang of it now. Got easier with time as you said. There is a trick to it but it really pissed me off in the beginning.

I've had mine a few months and have always charged them using the USB with no issues. Taking the batteries in and out evey time is a pain. Just leave them in and use the USB. The batteries are in parallel and the DNA is a quality chip that will properly charge your batteries.
