Indeed.

It's posted all over Facebook and Reddit; tons of people are having the problem, can't believe I didn't hear about this prior to buying and looking through numerous reviews. I guess I am glad mine happened sooner rather than later. Probably the last time I will pay more than $15 bucks for a built in battery though.

not all built in batteries are the same. It is a point to research a little more though, to be sure. good thing is youre getting it taken care of!

I'm sorry for your issue though man, that does suck that you got bit.
if theres anything you need feel free to ask.

I have some more questions. Going to be a hypocrite here and reconsider built in battery devices.. I'm in a bad situation where neither of my devices are working (Subox Mini threading expanded from heat or something and I cannot screw tanks on. Threading doesn't look stripped though)

1) Is the Ego One an unregulated device? I have been doing a lot of research on these and they seem really interesting. I like the size and shape of them a lot, but is this basically a mech? I am concerned about the safety compared to a VV / VW device. I am considering getting one and swapping the tank for a different 510

2) I am also considering one of the iSticks. Does anyone know what the smallest variation is that can do 1.0-0.5 ohm?

The Ego One Tank is crap in my opinion, the mod is not unregulated but you cant regulate anyhing :D It has safety features built in. I bought one for a friend because I thought it would be a great beginners device but it was leaking and had issues with not firing and stuff like that. The friend went with a iStick50 and a subtank mini then and is happy. (But the iStick50 has issues too).
The iStick TC 60 is rather small and has temp control but not for stainless steel.
Id rather get the evic vtc mini or the cuboid.

If you are looking for a well made small and nice looking mod check out the vape-forward Lite!

I have the iStick 40W TC and the iStick 60W TC. Like both. The 40 is quite a bit smaller than the 60, but you can replace the battery on the 60. They both do Ni200, and Ti (40W Ti TC is enabled by button press while off, that sadly I don't remember off hand). But as mentioned above, neither do SS TC.

For the 40W TC mfg says:
  • Rated resistance range: 0.05-1ohm (TC mode), 0.15-3.5ohm (VW mode)
I've had my 40W for about 5 months now, and it is my favorite "out and about" setup with a Kanger Nano with the 0.15 Ni200 Vertical coils.
