Thinking about something new...

Hey ya'll, so I currently have the Steam Crave Aromamizer Plus RDTA. Cant say enough about it - great tank. BIG tank. First true build tank (for me). Recently transitioned Wifey over to the rebuildables. Albeit our agreement was that I had to build her tank for her which is fine, I dont mind tinkering with stuff.

This may be my dilemma. We got her the Zeus dual RTA as it fit her mod, and she liked it the best. The only downfall to that tank is that it doesn't hold much juice - but the flavor is definitely there. Which she likes. Every time I wick it for her, and get it primed up, I am feeling a bit of tank envy (its a clean looking tank, imo).

I come back to my Aromamizer and wish it would taste half as good as her tank does, lol. So long story short - brainstorm with me. Whats my next tank? Birthday is around the corner...might start dropping some hints.

If you have tank envy of the Zeus dual coil and like the flavor more than your armomamizer I think you already have your answer. ;)

There's plenty of dual coil rtas out there for flavor. One I've noticed that gets mentioned alot is the Wotofo Bravo. A more recent dual coil rta that's getting a good reputation for flavor is the Vapefly Core rta.

Thanks Roostifer. While normally - I would agree with you and just go grab a Zeus like hers, my problem with it is I would suck that thing dry quick! Going from 10ml to 4ml onboard capacity would be something i'd have to get used to.

I may have to research the Bravo you mentioned a little bit. It's got 6ml capacity out of the gate it appears. That build deck though is a little...ok alot different than my flat deck I have on my Steam Crave. The air port's and cotton stuffing setup however does have me slightly intrigued.

The Core looks to be at 2ml and 4ml...so thats a no-go from me.

Another one that might be worth looking into is the OBS Engine 2. Dual coils and 5ml capacity might peak your interest.

To be honest it won't be easy finding big flavor and large capacity in a dual coil rta. They are out there, just not many.

what is your build in the aromamizer? there might be some room to improve. i consider it to be one of the better flavor tanks out there (though i have not tried the zeus yet). i have a couple friends who use this tank on regulated mods (70-90w), and i run mine on a hammer of god mech mod (~200w). i built all of them, and i have tried a lot of different things (from fused claptons to aliens, plain and framed staples etc). i found that the only thing that matters is the size and placement of the coils. as long as they are 4mm inner diameter with enough wraps to span the distance between the post holes, and about 2-3 mm between the deck and bottoms of the coils for air flow, they seem to work great.

these have been going for well over a year in mine and everyone who has taken a rip off of it is stunned at how good it works (partly why all my friends who vape have aromamizer plus tanks now lol).

@mach1ne so, currently the aromamizer is sitting ontop of a tesla steam punk 220w (love that thing). inside, ive got a pair of framed staple alien's (2-26/4 - .1* .4/36) Ni80 3mm, 5 wraps. I just use COTN threads as they are mindless and easy to wick, and i seem to get about 4-5 days out of them. Usually run it between 60-75w (90% of the time 65w). Per my mod, its pushing exactly .100 ohms right now.

I do have the coils pushed out on the deck, as close to the air ports as i can get them. On this set of coils, I tried to make them as tall as i could, and I would say they are roughly where yours are on that picture above (just not as colorful, lol).

next time you get to re-coiling that thing, try 4mm and see if it helps. sounds like you got a pretty nice build in there. do you build your own?

I dont, have not got that far into building yet. Local shops sells these as a set for like $6 so this far I've just bought them. I've watched videos and read the coil building threads, feel like I could get in over my head QUICK with all that.

Dont get me wrong with all this, I dont dislike this tank, and do intend to keep it and keep using it. I'm just kind of window shopping ;)

I feel like, as far as new builders go - you can't go wrong with this deck. Its almost fool proof. Lots of room to mess up, and room to explore future ideas.

I agree. This the way I coil my Plus. I run it on a Modefined Prism and it is a beast.

I have a couple of the Zeus Duals and if you get the new color options; they come with a bubble glass if you're worried about capacity.

I recommend you get the QP juggerknot clone. I have two of them made by ulton from 2Fdeal. The airflow, flavour, and ease of build are huge pluses and for you, it comes with a 6ml bubble tank. It’s around the same price as the Zeus dual while the authentic runs around $75 and that’s why I bought the clone. The quality is as good as any authentic I have, which is around 10.

Try hitting those coils 120-140w and see how you like the flavor. For the amount of mass you listed in that build at that power level(60-75w) it'll be a really cold mute vape.

I think I've looked at that online before. I like the drip tip, I like the option of the tank sizes, and the deck looks easy enough to build on.

Is that the Zeus Dual Pro? When I went into the shop the other day, I was browsing their tanks and they had (I think it was this one) sitting next to the regular Zeus Dual. Took a half second look at it and the bubble glass was the only difference I could see?

So I ramped it up in 10w steps, and it definitely got denser and I could taste it more as the wattage went up. It could be that the coils are a little gummed up and the moment, but when I hit 120 .. I got a little of that burnt/nasty taste so I pulled it back down a bit (100w). I never really thought about hitting it that hard as I figured if I keep my wattage low - I should be able to preserve my batteries a little longer throughout the day as well.

Yes that is the difference. They are the same price online though.

When I run a coil of that mass in that tank it tends to only work well over 140w...but for that power level your wicking needs to be on point. I'm not saying you have to run it that high, I'm just saying you should find the flavor improve a lot if you do(if your wicking keeps up)
