Thinking of trying sub ohm

I use an iStick 50W and 30W, both with the Kanger Genitank, and had read that Kanger recently (maybe not so recently?) released sub ohm coils for the geni/aero/pro tanks, and have been considering giving these a try. I've done a fair bit of research before delving into sub ohm (drop the nic level, all that fun stuff) but I was just wondering if anyone else had tried these coils and if so their thoughts/opinions? Is it worth a try or should i get a different tank for my sub ohm dive?

I would just grab a kanger subtank or one of the real subohm tanks.
I've seen reviews not up to par
The coils are not as nice as let's say the crown or the subtank!
It's up to you
But man when I tried subohm I was like what the heck lol
I'm a mouth to lung and I hated it until I made the switch to direct lung.
Much more flavor much better

Sub tank mini is a great tank to get into sub ohming with. Your sticks are powerful enough to power them. Big variety of coils available, prob more than for any other tank. Pretty much all I use. I also have a crown, blows huge clouds and gobbles juice, excellent flavor. Only use for a treat few times a week. Need at least 65 watts to drive her.

+1 on the tank suggestions. Also, not sure what nic level you're at but I'd recommend no more than 6mg if you sub ohm .

i went with the Sub Tank Mini for my first dive into subbing.

the best part about the STM, is that the RDA is so easy to rebuild. one spool of wire and a pack of cotton would last forever.

Thanks for all the help and suggestions guys! I think I will try the subtank since that's the majority suggestion lol. A couple more questions if you guys don't mind! I was thinking of trying this subtank nano because I find RDAs a little daunting and from what I can tell you get manufactured coils for this. Are the coils in the second link what I would want? (Ignore the prices I'm Canada so that's why they might seem wacky if you're in the states lol)

Those in the link will work, and- there are also newer SOCC stainless steel coils and Clapton coils. The latter 2 are round rather than square.

The 0.5 and 0.2 are for direct inhale, while the 1.2 and 1.5 are more for mouth to lung.

Takes a little time to get used to direct lung inhale, but a nice benefit of sub ohm.Took me about a month, but I was 1/2 ppd with analogs, not a heavy smoker.

All tanks have their quirks, and there is no one tank that's perfect for all.

geex that's a lot of looneys.. ;)
those coils will work good thing is if you end up not liking it yuou can just get the mtl coils and youre not out any on your investment. from what I understand though, the subtank doesn't care much for 80vg, so you may wanna try staying in the 505/50 or 60/40 range best of luck to ya!

Thanks guys! Both me and my mother in law are ordering these tonight :) I've already stocked on 6mg and she went down to 2 cus her nic levels are already lower than mine lol. Pretty much all we can get around here for juice is 60/40 so that will be good... thanks for all the help and tips guys!!

My suggestion, if you are going to go with a Kanger Subtank get the new top fill one.

i will disagree with you here. it all depends on how you build it; and more importantly how you wick it.

i'm running a Clapton in my RBA right now. (26N80/32K/3wraps/3mm if i recall). the cotton is Scottish Rolled and pancaked. i can run high VG juice at 75W no problem. i just can't chain vape. i can get two hits at best before the cotton dries out.

I'm talking about premade coilheads not an rba
