You asked for it, you got it. :) From the "Poor Peoples Candy Kitchen".....;)

Thunderball's Chick-O-Stick

TFA Caramel Original 9%
TFA Peanut Butter 8%
TFA Cotton Candy 2%
TFA Brown Sugar Extra 1%
FA Coconut 1%
TFA English Toffee 0.5%

We were discussing theses candies yesterday and I knew the main flavor to this would be the TFA Caramel Original and the Peanut Butter. This the same core as a Butterfinger has which I have an excellent recipie for which I posted in the TFA recipie forum on ECF about a year and a half ago.

The Brown Sugar and English Toffee are in there for two reasons: The Chic O Stick is sweeter than the inside of a butterfinger and they also help the Coconut along with giving it a "toasted" flavor which is the other difference in the Chic O Stick.

The toasted coconut is not quite where I want it to be but is pretty damn good. Feel free to play with this up or down. This tastes great without it completely, but is not quite a Chick O Stick without it.

I tried toasted marshmallow as well as toasted Almond trying to coax the coconut into becoming a bit more toasted, but they just did not work out for me. In fact, just 1% of toasted marshmallow forced me to raise up two main flavorings because it had a masking effect on the Caramel/Peanut butter.

If lowering the two main ingredients, Mix them at : Caramel 7% and Peanut Butter at 6%. If you vape this alone, you will immediateley want my Butterfinger recipie. :)

This is a shake and vape recipie as usual for me. A little heat doesnt hurt to mix the molecules.

This is a strong sweet vape. It is also full of some of the questionable stuff like Acetoin & Acetylpropionyl, so vape at your own risk.

Enjoy !

Damn it... Must not stumble to store to get gross butterfinger guts candy.

Chick o sticks are one of those candies I used to look at like candy corn in the bottom of the goodie haul.... the bastards left when all else fails and you must shovel more sugar into your maw... then it hits you on how damned good they are... and then you forgot about them until next year.
A local stop n rob had the long ones by the register... OMFG bought one every time.... ate and loathed it that I loved it so much. only to forget about them once consumed.

Lacking English Toffee, I'll try it without that. And of course, at 1/4 strength, lol!

So cool that you drove around to find the candies. Used to see them at the dime store; now they're at the dollar store.

Yes, it's pretty strong as is . This will give you a sugar high for sure.

HIC, I was just following your lead when I got out to search and find them. I remember your "tic-tac" methodology...... Lol

How can you be sure if your not tasting the real thing as your mixing your juice ?

So, some if us are actually listening and learning ........ :)

thank-you thunderball i had all the flavors put it together, and from doing diy for 2 years this is my favorite. my daughter came over tried it and loved it. and took off with the rest of it. so i just made a 100mls. the only change i made is i did 9% of the peanut butter and 8% of the Carmel, and 2% brown sugar.

Im really honored that you like it. That was a fun day when I made it, both here in the forums and while making it. :)

I chuckled a bit reading this thread. I'm just a 15 minute drive from where they are made. It is so weird that I see them being talked about is the oddest places on the inter webs and here I'm right down the road from them. Guess I will defiantly have to make this up and see how it compares. But I have to order one flavor first. Thanks for this recipe.

Made this last night. Pretty good. One of the flavors though is making me cough like I still smoke. I think it's the peanut butter. Anyone else have that issue with flavors?

I am going to add the ingredients for my next order. It looks great! I used to love Chick-o-Stix when I was in Elementary over thirty years ago.

Good recipe here TBall, I made the lowered version to start.

Maybe I'll raise them up a bit more next time.

It may be one of those " How old are you" questions. They were pretty much everywhere back in the 60's and 70's it seems. In the South and out west anyway. Now I cant seem to ever find a "Chunky"

There was a penny candy store across the street from my house. Not all candy was a penny. Maybe some 3 for 5 cents. Flying saucer candy. The original red Fish. Wax bottles with juice in them. I remember little hard candies on paper.

My memory is not so good lol. I just know I'd have a small brown bag of candy for 50 cents!

Oh, the dots! I remember loving those, though the only flavor they had was kind of sharp and SUGAR.

Someone needs to mail you guys some chick o sticks. They're yummy.

I am making my 3rd batch. Love this stuff. What about part caramel candy and part caramel? I brought down the peanut butter to 8 and caramel to 7 and it came out good last batch. I might try that other coconut mentioned above. I think I have that one. I just ordered FA coconut. Maybe I should wait. I was using TFA's at 1.5 but it needed a hint more. Decisions decisions. This is the bestest recipe ever. Thank you for sharing.

FA coconut is soooo much better than TFA. Definitely the best choice for this recipe. Thunderball hit this one out of the park. Loved those things when I was a kid..
