Titanium coils help?

So I've been building coils for a month or two now and over the last month I wanted to try out TC on my sigelei j150. So I grabbed some SS from local deal to find out it was 304 after I got it since it wasn't labeled which type.

I didn't like the metal taste I got from it so made a few spaced staples out of it till I found some titanium 26g and played with it making some more of them.

Picked up a few more rolls to start trying claptons with it made my first one a few days ago but I'm finding it way to springy to keep it tight after so first one ended up being a spaced coil. Since it wouldn't stay tight while trying to work it so I kept working it till it was spaced nicely.

Was wondering if anyone had some advice for working with it. I know not to dry burn it and stuff like that. Or and ideas for better company's to get wire from.

Titanium isn't a very good wire for advanced coils, it doesn't hold together very well, 316L stainless steel is the best type of SS because it eliminates the metallic taste all together, at least from my experience, and it's a dream to build with, very easy to wrap and correct but it doesn't spring out a ton, and you can run it in TC and VV/VW, i buy from lightingvapes.com

might as well buy from temco. most of the "vaping wire" companies just buy temco wire, repackage it and sell it for more.

5.77 for 100ft
14.40 for 500ft
free shipping as well.
temco actually is the manufacturer and they make good wire. alot of the coil builders buy their wire from them since they go through so much and buy in bulk. they have all gauges and size rolls

Good to know I'll have pick up some next paycheck in bulk. Been wanting to experiment more with building. See what I can all do.
Welder by trade so I'm pretty good with my hands. The titanium claptons I made turned out really nice besides a few bad spots which landed at the start and middle when I cranked the drill to full speed and didn't adjust with it quiet right. So I just cut them out

are you sure thats the same wire? i ask because i started getting my Ti wire from lightning vapes and it worked great. then i found temco and placed an order. every single coil i build with temcos Ti glows bright red in TC and oxidizes the wire all kinds of colors. so i never actually got to try the temco wire. since going back to lightning vapes Ti wire i have not once had any hot spots or any glowing. it works as it should.

the only difference i can see between these two wires is that temco offers annealed wire where lightning vapes is not annealed. because of that i have chalked up annealed wire as wire not to use for vaping.

any thoughts on this? i see temcos SS wire is also annealed.

i can't say for sure lightning vapes does but most of them do. most "vaping" stuff is just repackaged from the real manufacturer and marked up. I never use Ti wire personally. I stick to SS and Nife for my temp control needs. and of course having FSK mods i can temp control kenthal as well

Well I priced out lightning vapes and temco and it seems out lightning is cheaper by a little but you have to be careful which size rolls you buy. Along with I didn't have to jump threw hoops to ship to Canada and shipping was way cheaper.

I think the TemCo Ti is meh.
Not tried any other brand Ti but the stuff I have just is a nightmare.

Now the Kanthal and ss316 from them is clean and just amazing.

interesting. well i can say that 100' of SS316 is slightly cheaper from LV and their service is very good.

and yeah the Ti from tempco is garbo IMO. no matter what i did with it i could not get it to work. just kept glowing and oxidizing. no thanks. having said that i have just recently tried SS wire and im really liking it over Ti.
