It's been hard to know exactly how to feel about Titans. On one hand, DC's TV track record in recent years has been pretty great, and the fact that both Greg Berlanti and Geoff Johns are involved as Executive Producers is always a promising sign. On the other hand, how can you take a superhero show seriously when it features Robin stomping on criminals' necks and growling "F*** Batman!"?
Thankfully, the end result has so far been better than that early footage would have you believe. Titans is definitely a slow burn, as well as being a series still trying to settle on a consistent look and tone, but "Hawk and Dove" helps solidify a clear hook for the series.
