Excellent! You nailed the timing for the blue. I tend to go too long and get gold and darker. Great Job.

I did this over my gas stove. Just heating it untill it glowed red turning it slowly. Then pulled off the flame quenched it under cold water. The colors are still changing some.

Good Job! For some reason I never got around to jumping on torching. I might do this to my ss nemesis tubes now thanks to you! I've been too distracted with patinas

The color will change fast once it gets hot so keep an eye on it and cool it when you get to the shade you want and you can always sand it down and try again like the patinas.

That looks really nice. Good job. About how long would you say you kept it over the flame?

Time will vary piece to piece, as well as on the same piece. The thickness of the metal is the difference.
