Trying to make my 1st mod box

Need advice trying to build a 26650 mod box . Wondering on how to wire up a potentiometer ... here's the twist its going to be a (parallel/series) like to have control if possible to want change . OK if there's potentiometer on series .when witching over to parallel would the potentiometer still work ... or should i forget that option . Trying to keep cost don thank u

What would be the best size off box would you suggest daul26650 unregulated withe mofet. With room to fit a 510 connector and meter .don't,t want everything crammed in to over heat
