Tugboat rda issue

I just received my authentic tugboat and I made the holes 1/8. Now my issue even when the wholes were stock size is alot of juice popping into my mouth, what could be something I need to change or is wrong with it? #2 my posts screws will not stay tight and no they aren't stripped. Is anyone else having these issues?? Thx in advance for all help

My tobh pops if I don't hit it hard enough. Got to keep the air really flowing to keep things cool I guess. Can you post a pic of the deck? Might help someone to help you with loose screw issue.
