Tuglyfe Box Mod Clone Auto-Firing

Hello how's it going, I'm new to vaping and I just bought an unregulated box mod clone called the Tuglyfe Box Mod Clone from ebay. Well when it arrived something really weird occurred, I built the coil and everything and put in the ejuice. When I put in the batteries though the mod started firing without me pressing a button or anything. I thought my mod was broken so I asked the vendor for a replacement box, he gave me the box and I tried to test out the vape again, I put in the batteries and the exact same thing occurred it started auto-firing. I am very confused at this point, did the seller sell me two broken box mods? Or maybe its an RDA problem, I don't know much about box mods so I don't know why this could be happening. Could you guys please help me out? Why could this be happeing? Thank you.

Stop using it and remove the battery until you can get some help from some of our pro's here, in the mean time, I wonder why you as a new vaper, would pick such an advanced set up without researching more, before using it.

It sounds like an RDA problem. I could be wrong

Try a different tank or RDA, but in an unregulated mod it would have to be a wiring problem, a bad switch or blown Mosfet. There's not much else in there. 2 bad ones in a row is odd.

Aaaaaaand that's why mechanical switches are better. But back on topic, did you put the batteries in backwards/incorrectly? Putting the batteries in series in a parallel box might cause the box to auto-fire (or the batteries to vent) if there's no mosfet or the switch is passthrough.

Return it and get a nice trusted regulated mod....

My cherry bomber uses the entire mod to ground so if you use a bigger tank or any rda that screws and touches the mod it will auto fire....

Not familiar with this device so not sure if that's the case but I would look at things like that.

Are you starting to quit smoking or???

Yes thats´s what the seller told me too that it has to be a power problem, Ill check as soon as I get home. Why would it auto fire if batteries aren't put in properly? Shouldn't it just not turn on if that was the case? Could you elaborate a bit more about why this would happen if batteries are put in incorrectly? Thanks so much because I'm very frustrated and confused.

If it is in series it will autofire with the batteries in reverse

Im hoping you didnt receive the batteries with the mod an d are using them currently....I have yet to see a deal with Mod and Batteries and the Batteries are Authentics or trusted for use...

The Auto Fire Issue is simple, the Batteries are installed incorrectly, there is something making the connection and needs to be loosened or removed. If your not sure if its either then remove the batteries, set it down and pick yourself up a Istick 100TC, Cuboid, or something similar...

Sorry for being such a noob but what does series mean ?
Voltage is stepped up for every battery in play, much like stacking the batteries as opposed to running them in parallel (side by side). With a Series Box Mod (2 batteries) you are getting 8.4V to the coils instead of 42V you would in Parallel, which requires a different method of building for regular use.

Series-Batteries are setup as if they are stacked on top of each other facing the same direction. The batteries dont gain any Mah from each other or Amperage Limits, the batteries in series act like one battery pumping out more voltage per battery included.

Parallel
-Batteries are setup together and act as one battery with twice the Mah Rating and slightly more then 1.5 times the Amperage Limits.

new to vaping + unregulated box mod clone... why?!
I started vaping with a mech mod and rebuildable attys but I read as much as I could about using them and watched shitloads of tutorials on youtube before I started using them.
If you are new to vaping and buy anything that says "unregulated", that means unprotected and potentially dangerous aswell! So inform yourself before using it and dont blow your head off.
Im scared of the answer but what kind of batteries are you using?

The 2600mah Samsungs are only rated for 5 amps discharge... if you use them in a dual parallel mod you better stay above 0,5 ohms.
I would highly recommend to use other batteries with higher maximum discharge currents, like samsung 25R or 30Q.
Just to scare you a bit more: The ICR batteries are the least safe chemistry and are very likely to explode or catch fire when they vent. Get some good IMRs and a decent charger.

I had 2 tuglyfe clones, both unregulated. One is still going strong. Other had a blown mosfet and autofired. The good one looks way cleaner inside than the broken one did. I think its a qc issue honestly. But I got a refund on the blown one. Just get your money back and get a regulated mod. Unregulted and new to vaping isnt the best of combinations
