Twisted Messes RDA-the one builders have been waiting for.....

Just received my Twisted Messes RDA.....hot damn! This thing is just plain AWESOME! It came with TONS of extras. It's got 2 chuff caps, one is delrin the other stainless. It also come with a 510 adaptor so you can use your favorite drip tip. And if you don't have one, it comes with one of those too. The top of the top cap screws into place, so you can essentially lock the airflow ring in place, and it's also nice if you prefer lifting off the top cap to drip. You can just grab the drip tip and lift the whole cap right off. Tolerances are fantastic, tight enough so nothing moves, but loose enough that you can remove everything with minimal effort. Also comes with both a blue and stainless airflow ring. Ring allows for single and dual coil builds. Post holes are enormous. And the deck is designed so as long as your builds fit anywhere over the deck (even outside of the juice wells) that it won't come in contact with the top cap. This is a constant source of frustration in most RDAs for those of us who build on the crazy side. Here's the specs from the website and some photos......

For the price, this thing is magnificent. I paid $59.95 and it has thus far been well worth every penny. I've loved my Mutation X because it handled the crazier coils the best out of all my atomizers, and this atty surpasses it in every single respect with flying f'n colors. It took this stapled helix wire without it even touching the inside of the post holes, and almost no adjustment at all. And in single coil with a normal 510 drip tip (it comes with a stainless one by the way) it gets awesome flavor. Bottom line-you don't need to be a serious builder to enjoy this, but if you are then this might be the atty you've been dreaming of. At least it is for this guy......

That's a nice atty. Kudos. I'm almost ready to pick up a mutation but might wait it out to get this bad boy.

That coil slams the revolving door on the law of ohm. I've seen others like it on YouTube #coilporn I think its called the klapton, idk why it sure is a freak of nature.. But my question is, in all of its coolness what wick won't it light on fire, could u keep a juice well wet? And in gods name what supply's an adequate supply of power??? Segelli 150? Blank box w 26650" s? I would like to meet its maker.

I made a monster coil last week.. 22 ga center with 26ga wrap.
Clapton ain't got a fucking THING on it... it is a Burton.
Just don't know what atty is big enough to deal with it.

I glanced at the Atty, said "cool", then spent 5 minutes staring at that coil. Impressive. Almost a shame to hide it with a top cap.

Well dam. What did that clock at? What kind of wire u making these monsters with? Its all relative man... Also, monster coils are too hot they burn wick before you can get your juice out of you're well. I can go get 18g comp. electrode wire and wrap it around a 3mm post 7 times and light anything on fire. Ya know what people that win cloud comps build at? .4 kanthal dual 6 wrap 2mm. plain Jane.. Bigger isn't always better..

I'd say more complex isn't always better but it sure does look good. Lol

Ok, the atty is sweet, but I want more info on that damn coil you got there!!
Haha, it's a stapled helix wire. Two pieces of twisted 26g with 8 pieces of ribbon wire in the middle. Then 2 strands of 38g holding it together. It's a beast of a coil, a rainy day project for sure. Flavor is spectacular, possibly the best i've had. Here's the tutorial

It's mostly kanthal, so the resistance is high enough to fire on the first Sigelei 100w. It's a spectacular coil, flavor and vapor are otherworldly. The biggest con would be the juice consumption....went through well over 30ml yesterday. The other would be the time it took to make. But coil building is fun for me so the time don't matter much, i enjoy the process as much as i enjoy the results :D

There's always the option of a glass bell RDA, like the Mutation X V3 has.

For future reference Temco has ribbon wire now. I'm ordering my wire directly from them.
http://www.temcoindustrialpower.com/product_selection.html?p=flat_ribbon_kanthal
Don't buy the temco ribbon, it's f'd up. I've ordered 2 spools from them and both were messed up. It curves to the side, so you can't use it for anything really. Something about the way they spool it perhaps is terribly off. Kindey Puncher's ribbon is fine though and still inexpensive. Just make sure you buy the 100ft roll or it will come on the cardboard coaster and be more or less useless

When you have this kind of creativity out there, it gives me relief knowing that vaping is way past the point of ever getting "banned."

Tossed in a pair of fused claptons tonight. Just trying to see what this atty can do. Took the mouth piece down a notch to the wide bore delrin and closed up the airflow a touch. Some pretty bangin' flavor outta this guy. Nice restrictiveness to it with one "air hole" open. Really versatile lil' device. Honestly well worth the $60 to me, so far at least. Much more versatile than my beloved Mutation, and i consider that a fairly versatile atty. Oh, for the curious, these are 2 strands of 26g KA-1 wrapped in 38g N80. Dual 8 wraps hits .2 on the Sigelei box. My USA ohm reader should be here any day now so i can get a proper reading. Cheers :D

Thanks for the information! I haven't bought any ribbon wire yet.

Which ribbon wire would you recommend, and from whom to buy?

.5 is my favorite, it seems to be good for more or less everything. I will only buy it from Kidneypuncher.com. Keep in mind that if you buy less than 30' it will come wrapped around a coaster, which puts a kink in it every few inches so make sure to get 40 or 50+ ft. I've bought a few rolls from Temco, but its no good, theirs has an awful sideways curve to it that makes it totally useless. I buy the 100' ft rolls from kidney puncher and i have had no problems at all. I just got a new roll today in the mail actually :D

Ordered this with a second deck and should be here soon; I'm pretty excited for it. Twisted is running a deal on his site where you can add a second deck at half price right now by using the code "COILADDICT" if anyone is interested

I have been thinking about getting one but after my recent purchase I might have to wait due to my chick will flip out of I don't intercept the vape Mail this time....

Man for the price I love it, guy at my work that slangs clones showed me his and I will tell you it's pretty bad, tolerances are horrible and the extra cash for the authentic is worth it:)

Good times and awesome builds man!!!!

I just picked up one of these bad-ass things yesterday! I love it so far! Up until now, my favorite RDA has been the Royal Hunter full size atty from council of vapor. This TMv2 is AWESOME and moves the royal hunter to second place.
I paid 70 bucks for it at a local shop...which is a bit steep compared to prices online, but I've had some bad luck with online vendors, so I like to be able to check it out before I buy.
To me, it was worth it...this Atty is nice!
