Two questions - the position of coils & behavior of tanks

Been experimenting with some pre-built coils and making some spaced coils, all of them on different tanks and an rda clone I'm trying out.

1) In Todd's review of the o-atty rda, the coil is positioned diagonal to the posts. The coil is perfectly horizontal, but it isn't perpendicular to the posts. Does this affect the vape in any way? If so, how? When I build, the initial position of the spaced coils is usually diagonal depending on how many wraps I've got, and I do take the trouble to straighten them out.

2) I've got 4 tanks that have a "cap" of sorts over the deck -- what is that called?) and a chimney. All 4 tanks produce way better flavor when all I can see of the remaining juice is about an eighth of an inch. (The subtank mini though lags flavor-wise, hence my search for other tanks.) I'm curious about why this is so and if there's anything I can do to improve the flavor when the tank is full or 3/4 full.

Coil position in relation to the posts doesn't matter except on determining ohm rate... coil position in relation to the path of air flow is relevant.

Pics would clarify tank question. But ...... coil at bottom. Generally call a Rebuildable tank or RBA or RTA some times RDTA. Coil above tank RDTA or Genesis. If it has a coil head it's a Clearomiser.

I have a Hadaly clone. Airflow comes from both sides, goes through the posts & under the coils.

The tanks I'm talking about are RTAs - Hurricane Jr clone., serpent mini, and SXK Kayfun 5 clone. I also have a subtank mini but I'm not using it at the moment.

Kind of went a little nuts with the buying spree in my excitement to try out different things.

okay, the position relative to the posts is of no issue, the position relative to the air port is what matters. you want it lined up evenly with respect to the air, not to close, but also not to far away. I tend to maintain about a 2mm gap..

All 4 tanks produce way better flavor when all I can see of the remaining juice is about an eighth of an inch
I would suggest, if your tanks have juice flow control you reduce it slightly.. it sounds like you are getting better flavor when the wick is less saturated, so reducing the flow should get you there for the entire tank.

The hurricane jr clone has so-so juice control but I'll try it anyway. The kayfun v5 clone is better in that respect. Thanks for the tips.
