Remember how, in last week's review, I said the destruction of the outside world and the emotional turmoil it caused inside the dome was the most interesting thing the show had done in a few years? And how I feared that it'd all turn out to be a hoax? And that the only way the story could get ruined was if none of it was real?
Welp.
So yeah. Once Christine emerged from the cocoon all healed and ready to manipulate, the dome switched screens and showed everyone that the world was actually sunny and tranquil outside. And everyone shrugged and was like "okay." Granted, Jim did say that it wasn't the first time the dome had tricked them, but this was a big trick. Everyone who wasn't all hive-brain thought the entire planet had been eradicated. It was a big deal and it got harrumph'd off like it was nothing.
