Okay, so I might take it on the chin a bit for this review, but I actually thought "Ejecta" was the best episode of Under the Dome since - well - somewhere, sometime back in Season 1. While the introduction of dream cocoons and alien brainwashing was a big chess move that helped Season 3 slightly step up out of the wretched shadow of Season 2, this episode really shook things up. Like, the citizens of Chester's Mill had to watch as the rest of the world got pummeled by meteors, rocked by debris, and then incinerated by a wall of fire. The pink stars were, in fact, falling.

Like a one-off chapter that allowed us to see what was going on in the rest of the world during the three weeks (the show still insists on this timeline) since the dome appeared. Well, none of that matters now. With Christine wounded and healing herself within the power caves, the world got obliterated (one more thing to blame Sam for?). And it was kind of cool. In fact, the only way this show could ruin everything is if we found out it was all a dome-generated illusion.
