just read up on them, looks like the ipv4 is easier to change batteries, thats a make or break for me. i lose stuff a lot and having a special screwdriver is unacceptable, any thoughts?

You don't need any tools to change batteries on the IPV3 Li, the battery door slides off, it's held on by a bearing. Mine is solid.

i like the idea of the ipv3 but its too big, kinda narrowed choice down to ipv d2 and sigelei 75W tc, both which aren't out yet or at least i cant find

I am very happy with my ipv3. I got it with a good price from csvape.com
They extended there deals till today July 7th.

its too big, its actually not too big but the smaller units look better to me, i don't have problem swapping batteries, plus less batteries i have to buy, with the ipv3/4 i need 4 batteries, two on standby where the smaller unit i only have to buy 2 batteries, 1 for standby

If you are looking for something smaller, the kangertech subox is also available on their website. It takes only one battery and it is small and easier to carry around.
