Currently got a cheap £10 Diamond Mist Pro Tank on it at the moment but i'm looking at upgrading to a better one. Any recommendations for tanks i should look at? I've also been looking at the Kangertech Nano.

Kangertech Nano is a good choice

I was also looking at the Aspire Atlantis and the Kanger Aerotank Turbo :) Thanks for the reply too btw

But you realize that a 20 watt device will not work on the .6 ohm coil heads in those tanks

Ahh, I'm pretty new to vaping so if you have any suggestions then I'm all ears :)

Honestly bud...I wouldn't waste your time/quid on an Aerotank Turbo...sure it's flashy, and it weights a metric shit ton, but it basically is a quad coil Aerotank Turbo tank....that is that it takes two of the Aerotank turbo coils instead of one. So if you put two 1 ohm coils in it then the resistance for your tank would actually be .5 and it would work the same for any of the other resistance of coils for the Aerotanks. Honestly....I have an Aerotank Mega and I was disappointed with Kangers dual coil Aerotank heads....you'd more than likely be much happier just getting a Subtank Plus if you're going the Kanger route and using the 1.2 ohm coils with your current device or getting a 30 or 50 watt mod like Smokie said if you want to run the .5 ohm coils.

I think the quality of the vape is all around superior to the Aerotank series and even if you're running the 1.2 ohm coils at 15 to 20 watts you'll be much happier with the performance.

The reason why you need more power with the sub ohm coils is that these coils heat up from friction caused by the electricity passing threw the metal that the coil is made of giving resistance as it travels threw the wire...hence the name "resistance" and "resistance wire." :)

The lower the ohm's level the greater amount of electricity/power/watts is required to heat up the coil....there for a .5 ohm coil will take a greater amount of electricity/wattage to heat the coil up. Also, with the lower resistance coils, Also, with a lower resistance you need a greater amount of current/amps drawn from your power source (battery in this case) to create the amount of wattage you need to heat those coils.

You can use this Ohm's law calculator to see the relationship between the amps/voltage draw to create enough wattage with a given resistance.

http://thelocust.net/ohm/

The beauty of getting a device like an Eleaf Istick 50 watt is it has built in batteries and chipset in it that you can set the desired power level in wattage and the chipset in it will figure out the required voltage to produce the desired results with the resistance of your coil and will not fire a coil that is too low in resistance or at a power setting that is more than the battery can handle in terms of amp drain. Just like the chipset in your Kamry 20 watt does.

All batteries have what is called a "continuous amp drain limit." most of the 18650 sized batteries we use in our high powered devices and mech mods have a continuous drain limit of 20, 25, or 30 amps depending on the battery. Basically when you fire your mod you create a complete circuit and your device draws a certain amount of power that is measured in terms of amps or amp draw. It goes from the battery, threw the coil where it is slowed down by the resistance in the wire creating friction and heat, then returns to the battery.

The continuous drain rating is actually not just how fast the battery can have current drawn from it, but how fast it can handle the returning current in the circuit and send it out again. If your coil is trying to draw faster than the battery can send and return it then the battery starts to heat up. The battery has an internal resistance of it's own and as it gets warmer from being worked harder than it can handle from the heavy drain it's internal resistance level will rise as it heats up to try and protect itself. When the battery has power drawn faster than it can handle the drain and return and it heats up but it can't heat up fast enough to cope with the stress of it all that is when a battery vents and is ruined. This venting is what you do not want to happen as it can be quite dangerous and can be anything from the fluid inside the battery escaping to (in the case of mech mods, not regulated devices as much,) the battery catching fire and blowing the end of the mod out.

Regulated mods like your Kamry and the Isticks and Segelei's and IPV's as part of their chipsets have built in protection that will keep your device from firing if you try and put too much stress on the battery like that but I figured I'd offer some basic battery safety knowledge as you said you are a newer vaper and still learning...it's good stuff for every vapor to know :)

I know you're just looking for an upgrade to your current setup and and regulated mods with built in safeties like the one you have are definitely the way to go now days as for new vapors but it's good to educate yourself on the basic knowledge about ohm's law and battery safety regardless as all these new sub ohm tanks are coming out and they require the right device and batteries to power them properly regardless if using a regulated mod or not...I recommend you check out the threads below as well...they will give you a lot of good knowledge and help you decide on what you want next. Regardless of what you're interested in, I would do some research and watch as many reviews as you can....There are a lot of reviewers now days that will give you a good look over of the item you're looking at and help make sure it is suited for your want/need. Best of luck deciding and happy vaping :)
