Using Ni200 Coils & Resistance Setting.

hello,
I have a question regarding Ni200 Pre-Built coils.
I'll explain and give an example based on what I'm actually using.
I have the FreeMax Scylla tank with a 0.15 Ni200 pre built coil head (the Starre FreeMax one's) and when I first install these coil heads - it reads a solid 0.15 (as stated on the package & on the coil) - and I run it locked in at 0.15. Sometime when I use he coil & switch it out into a new tank, or just switch my tanks to a new device - the resistance, when I re-lock it in for TC use, it sometimes fluctuates to different ohms. Like more often than others, it will read 0.17 - is it a BAD IDEA to use such coils that read 0.15 on package - at a resistance of 0.17, or is this an indication that the coil is damaged and needs to be replaced?
I find the vapor quality to be MUCH better when it reads off for some reason .. Like when it reads, 0.17 or 0.19 - it vapes like 2-4x times better than when I Vape it at 0.15 - why is that? I understand the coil wires change in resistance due to heat and use - but my main question and focus here is, IS IT O.K to use these coils which are 0.15 or 0.25 at 0.17/0.19 for the 0.15 and 0.27/0.26 for the 0.25?

Or should I be concerned when this happens & only use NI200 on devices where I can manually enter the cold coil resistance & lock it in at said printed resistance on coil package?
Also, can someone explain to me some things about Ni200 pre built coils that it seems I'm unaware of given what I've stated here & asked about. I much like and prefer ni200 over Kanthal - I've tried switching back to Kanthal & said this pack of Herakles ni200 coils were my last - but I tried - and Kanthal just does not do it for me - not enough flavor AT ALL. Idk if it's just the type of Kanthal I'm using in pre built coils or what, but nickel just seems to be the way to go. Ha.
Thanks in advanced & looking forward to some feedback & advice and possibly some answers to my questions

Even though, the packaging says 0.15 Ohm resistance, different mods might read a different resistance, due to the mod's internal resistance.
It is recommended to lock the resistance when the coil is "cold". Therefore, if you switch the tank to a different mod, after having used it already, you need to give the coil ample of time to cool down, before locking in the resistance on the next mod. The Ni200 wire is really sensitive to heat, thus changing it's resistance extremely. That was the reason for utilizing Ni200 coils only, in the first Generation of TC mods.
For you preferring a "higher" resistance for getting better results in TC, is mainly a personal preference. However, some mods allow you to customize your vaping experience, either by having a TCR mode, or even better having a Evolv DNA200, or DNA75 chip in the mod, utilizing the Escribe Software, for fine tuning the TC's behavior. You could trick your mod, fireing the mod, in order to reach your preferred 0.17-0.19 Ohm, and then locking in the resistance.

So it is OK and safe to run the coil/tank at 0.17 or 0.19 on 0.15 coils ?

Also, I have 0.2ohm Ni200 Herakles coils that seem to run perfect at 0.22/0.26 on my mod's - more heat and vapor and flavor when it's locked in at those ohms rather than the 0.20 setting. Safe?

I just want to be safe while using Ni200 - and if that means I can't use them at my preferred resistance rather then cold coil resistance - then so be it.
But sometimes after a couple days of use - the coils no longer read 0.15 or 0.20 - even after they have been chilled and cold at room temp - they sometime still read 0.17 or 0.22.
So I'm assuming that's just from being heated and used after a bit

Sure it's safe. These are relatively minor variations. Many mods allow you to adjust TCR and some to adjust your initial resistance in order to fine tune your vape to suit.

Okay.
I have another question -
I have a SMOK H-Priv 220w
It allows me to manually adjust what I think is called TCR?
When I set things up the way I like, it has a setting for "T-Ni" and then there's a 0.00000 - thing that shows up - and I can adjust it, what is this and how can I use it to my advantage ?
this feature is on both my SMOK mod's - the R80 (which I LOVE) and the H-Priv220w
I remember one time I used my UWell crown in SS TC mode on my X-Cube and had to adjust that number to like 0.00096 or something like that - if anybody knows that number I need it - for using the UWell's Stock SS coils in TC on SMOK products - because I can't find the video on YouTube I used as reference for it - and my H-Priv220 doesn't automatically set it for me so I haven't been able to use my crown in SS TC mode successfully with the H-Priv220w yet - only my R80.

Thank you!

I really just want to know what I can do with these numbers, the 0.00000 part - to use my TC tanks with an advantage or to fine tune it - it automatically sets it at like 0.00600 for Ni200 - and I know when I re adjust that number with my crown - it works much better - in comparison to the stock settings - it won't even run my crown in TC properly.
Thanks in advance again !

Mind explaining the TCR thing to me? Is the numbers 0.00000 on my SMOK products the TCR thing your talking about?

Rather then try to re-invent the wheel (and because I'm basically a lazy fucker:)) I suggest you search for "wire TCR values". The link Neunerball gave you gives a good basic explanation of TCR. This search will provide (sometimes conflicting) lists of TCR for various wire types that can be used in TC and more than you ever needed to know about TCR. Depending on the chip in your mod and the wire provider these can be used as a starting point to tweak your vape, much as you have already done.
