"It is estimated that there are more than 7,500 flavors of e-cigarettes available on the market. Many of these are sweet flavors and taste like fruit or dessert. "Taste is an important factor," said Harrell, who serves as lead researcher for one of the studies. "These flavors mask the flavor of tobacco, which can have a harsh taste."

What the fuck kind of bizarro world are these researchers living in?

Vaping flavors mask the flavor of tobacco?

Are they so fucking stupid that they don't even understand the basic fact that there is no tobacco flavor in eliquid unless it's placed there by the eliquid maker? - 5150

Did they mean to say that, "these flavors mask the taste of nicotine, which can have a harsh taste"?

Because there's some truth to that.

But they also seem to have ignored the data that indicates a majority of "youth" who vape choose to do so without nicotine, which of course makes flavors the entire point, and also means it don't fit any reasonable definition "tobacco product".

It also blows a big fat hole in their ersatz logic. What was the point again?
