Valve's latest long-form Dota 2 comic, The Last Castle, is now available for free on the game's website.
The Last Castle spotlights the boisterous hero Axe on a Conan-like journey in search of mystical booty. The story was promised as part of The International 2015 Dota 2 championship. Players contributed to the tournament's prize pool, eventually unlocking the then-unnamed comic as a stretch goal.
"He’s big. He’s red. He’s got an Axe. Also his name’s Axe," reads the Dota 2 blog. "His hobbies? Most of them involve axes and the act of axing things with an axe. Plus he’s now in his very own sixty-page comic."
