Well folks time for another review.
The Vandy Vape Pulse AIO V2 Kit that was sent to me by my friends over at Sourcemore.
FYI just to let you know i did struggle a bit with this, when i recorded the video i did spend like almost an hour (off camera) to try and get started, this is not an AIO for beginners.
Unboxing and first impressions:
Well this AIO sure looks good,i mean all metal no plastc and it even has an IP67 rating when it comes to the mod including the chip.
In the box you got everything you need to start vaping except for the battery,e-liquid and coils/cotton.
Now like i said before there is a lot in this kit and this ain't a beginner friendly AIO,lots of different bits and pieces and if you're not slow and methodical you will get stressed like it happened with me.
Airflow controls you can switch around, you have like 4 of them so you can pretty much get your vaping airflow down to whatever your heart desires.
The deck itself was something i struggled with, not building it but figuring out how to put the deck on a 510 so i could stabilize the coil.
Took me a while and i did have to go against my principles and watch a video (no sound and subs turned off) so i could see how to screw off a buttom piece so it could reveal the ''proper'' 510....what an odyssey.
Once i figured that out it was pretty easy, deck is easy enough to build and wicking (after the 3rd try) i think i got ok but i just don't like AIO's i mean its just too much work.
But anyway, when i did the video review i did 2 different builds and it leaked and i finally got a solid build on my 3rd try so yeah blame me because it was user error.
Leaking happend and big time and since there is no separation between the boro and the battery well lets just say i spent a whole lotta time just cleaning with paper towels making sure i wouldn't get the battery wet with e-liquid.
Menu operation is pretty simple:
-Press the Fire button 5 times to turn the device on/off
-Press the Fire button 3 times to change the operating mode, use the + and – buttons to choose between VW, SS, TI, NI, -Bypass, Volt.
-Press the fire button and "+" button at the same time to lock/unlock the adjustment buttons
-Press both the Adjust and Fire buttons at the same time to enter stealth mode
-Press the "+" and "–" buttons simultaneously to access the menu, to reset the puffs, to check the installed chip version, or to set the TCR
Ok so a long time gone until i got the setup properly done,ok so i might not be the vaper with the most skill and knowledge when it comes to AIO but yeah this gave me some trouble.
Vaping time:
Well 3rd build in,proper coil and properly wicked and ready to give it a try.
Gotta be honest the flavor is pow wow bam wam bam thank you maam!!
Dang the flavour is good and i hate to say this because i don't like AIO's but yeah this delivers.
After my video i did use the Pulse V2 AIO for a full couple of days and the performance was good but albeit i did encounter some condensation and leaking.
This was a bit of a problem since you gotta take out the boro, wipe down the mod, wipe down the boro, put it in again then you're back in bussiness, just a lot of hassle.
The 2 days i used the Pulse V2 AIO i did enjoy the vape,i am a 2 day guy cotton changer so yeah after 2 days i was just to lazy to rewick it again.
Personally i am just not that much into the ''building'' part of vaping,so i washed it out and put it back in the box.
PROS:
-Solid device,well built
-The boro that comes with the kit delivers a good flavorful vape
-IP67 protection on the chip
-Stylish,gotta admit it looks cool
CONS:
-Not for beginners or newbiew
-You gotta be into AIO's,if not it will just feel like a lot of work
-Some folks i know report MAJOR condensation issues while others don't
-No separation between the boro and the battery, folks with OCD like me that is a major con
Would i recommend this device?
If you're a newbie vaper that wants to get into the rabbit hole that is the AIO world that would be a resounding NO.
Same if you're a bit lazy like me and prefer less the ''fiddle'' around part of vaping, just being honest here.
If you're a seasoned vaper that really enjoys all the work that comes with AIO's then yeah this would be a really good choice of device.
The boro delivers a good flavorful vape and the device itself looks cool, classy and works perfectly.
hanks to Sourcemore that sent me this product so i could review it and thanks for everyone for taking the time to read my review.
cheers
