Well now, that's an interesting first choice for a power source. Can't say I've ever seen an 18350 unregulated series mod.
With that set up you are good going down to .4 ohms quite safely. But do not expect long battery life.
I think you're neglecting to factor in the fact that with twice the voltage comes double the current. A .4 at 4.2v will pull 10.5 amps. But at 8.4v, it's going to pull around 20. It would be quite unsafe to build that low with those batteries.
As said before, the capacity probably isn't good at all. 18350's also have lower current limits. If those MXJO's are true 10-amp cells (which is highly likely, as that's about the highest continuous rating you'll see on such small batteries,) then the absolute lowest you could build would be a .8. Realistically, that's pulling around 10 amps.
Use
this to calculate battery drain. You want to keep the amps below 10. And remember to change the voltage from 4.2 to 8.4.
I wouldn't recommend building lower for a few reasons. The first would be the lack of headroom. You''re leaving yourself a very narrow safety margin. It's doubtful that maxing your batteries will make them vent, but the potential for failure if something goes wrong is higher. The second would be battery life. You will go through those tiny batteries very quickly pulling that much current.
The third would be that it's impractical. With your batteries configured in series, you're pumping twice the voltage and pulling double the amperage, so it's not necessary to sub-ohm with 26g. A .8 at 8 volts already pushes 80w for 10 amps. With 18650 batteries, the option to sub-ohm would be there and would work great for thicker, lower resistance wire. But with your 18350 batteries, the builds you're going to get the best possible safe performance out of are going to be high-res.
As far as builds go, I've never used a series mod before, so I can only guess. The range of builds you can do with that 26 are going to be limited. A single below 1 ohm is probably going to be very hot, but a dual above 1 ohm is going to be massive. You might want to try dual 28g at around 1.5 ohms.
You can use
this to work out your builds. Enter in the resistance you want, gauge of wire, how many coils, and the diameter you're wrapping around and it will tell you how many wraps to do.
Honestly, I think that mod is more of a novelty device and you should get a regular 18650 device. The mod you have now greatly limits your building options.
