I have been asked to review the Vapefly Galaxy MTL RDTA I won from Heaven Gifts. The package arrived today via DHL. It was well packaged with 3 layers of bubble wrap around the little box this cartomizer came in.
Opening the box showed what I would expect to be there, spare parts, 3 way tool, and 2 coils as well as cotton. The coils are marked on the bag as 1 ohm. My mod shows it as anywhere between .82 and .95 ohm. The first thing I had to do was remove the 510 pin, and install the bf pin for my squonking purposes.
Putting in one of he supplied coils, I realized it was too long on the ends, so t took it back out, and timmed off 1/8th of an inch from each end.
Firing it up to burn off any residue was instant. Then I needed to wick this is thing. The suppled cotton have ends that look like shoelace tips. They do not fit into the supplied coils. I snipped off the tip of one, and needed to remove a strip off of the thickness of the cotton to make it fit. Using a jewelers screwdriver, it was easy to stuff that ends of the cotton through the holes, down into the reservoir.
I then soaked the cotton with my juice, placed the top on, and fired it up. For my dual coil RDTAs, I had it set to 32 watts. This was too much power for this atty. I turned it down to 17 watts, and it's just fine for me. 32 watts made it a cloud chucker.
This atty has small mouth pieces for it. While I use it, I'll miss using my large bore goon mouth pieces. These screw in, and my goons will not fit it.
To sum it up, this is a good product for those who want a small rdta with a small mouhpiece for squonking, or for use with a regular mod.
