Hey all, I just thought I'd share something I discovered about a week ago. I wanted to make sure it wasn't a fluke. You may have heard of a recently released tank called the Vapeston Ceramikas. It's the 3rd tank from Vapeston which in it of itself is a really nice tank. It took me a bit of time to perfect the top fill, but once I got the hang of it it's become my favorite tank.
The big "spin" on this tank though is the new ceramic coils. Basically, they're kanthal coils that are encased in food grade ceramic. I have been very impressed with the vapor production and the flavor. The claims on 2-3 months of lifespan though I think are optimistic but we'll see.
My big gripe with the coil though was that the initial hit took a while to warm up. Once you got it going it was great for chain vaping, so long as the wattage was kept down or it quickly got too hot. Well staring at it last week I thought, why not try this thing in Ti mode on the Cuboid I was testing (it is a .3 ohm coil). I didn't expect it to work, but it does; beautifully at that. I've tried it now on the Cuboid and the eVic VT and get the same results (not surprising). Running in Ti mode at 120W & 400-450'F. The coil heats up immediately but then the TC mode keeps it from getting too hot. I doubt that it's holding the temp specified per say, but it does work wonderfully.
Anyhow, just thought I'd share for those of you who have Ti compliant MODs. I've tried the Ceramikas coils in an original Vapeston Maganus with this same setup and it works perfectly as well.
