Vaping Depicted in TV and Movies

Seems like Hollywood does not like e-cigs. I saw on the second episode of the new HBO series True Detective, the lady cop is vaping on a ego/ce4 looking device, and her partner said " looks like your sucking a robot's +"%". I've also seen a movie with Dennis Quaid playing a crazed killer who Puffs like crazy on his Ego device whenever he gets angry. Anyone else notice this? Anyone ever seen a good character who vapes in TV or film? This does not help our public image at all.

I remember some footage at a hollywood awards party where many were using them, and raved about them, blame it on the writer/director ??

Zac Efron had one in the movie Neighbors. There's a movie with John Cusack, I think called "Drive"?? Someone told me about it, haven't seen it. I have a photo of Norman Reedus with one, but who knows if it's shopped.

I think a bunch probably use them, it's just not as open as cigarettes once were. I rarely see movies with smokers anymore, either.

John Cusak in Maps to the Stars uses an ego with a clearo. Another new show using ecigs is a bbc show called Humans. Plus the great scene from House of Cards :) There was also a a girl in the show Betas that used one as well.
Edit- It's okay if Colin Farrell doesn't like 'em OP, It's not so bad imagining Rachel McAdams, well, you know ;)

In the show, "2 Broke Girls", the character Sophie Kaczynski, played by Jennifer Coolidge, used an ecig back when the character was first introduced (dunno if she still does).

Hmm... Max didn't like the hipsters using their ecigs in the diner, but Sophie has used hers in the diner w/o any issue. I think Max just doesn't like hipsters ;)

Wasted a solid hour and a half watching The Lazarus Effect and Evan Peters character dies by getting a Blu cigalik telekinetically jammed into his throat! Terrible terrible movie I might add.

I read something about Leonardo Dicaprio being a vaper and always having one close to hand on the set.

Apparently he was doing a love scene and had been hiding it under the pillow (try that with the real thing) and lost the sucker.

The actress he was filming the scene with later found it in her butt crack as the story goes.

Riley in Sense8 has one, but she uses it for unmentionable products...

Also true detectives Woodrugh asks Benevedes "is that a fucking e-cigarrette?" the entire couple scenes she is cupping it in shame.
Lets not forget Alcatraz the creepy Morgue Dr. was chain smoking cigs in the flashbacks but cut to present he has an Njoy like cigalike and when asked about "It is the only think worth living for in this time"

Seen pictures of Leo vaping on what I would guess is an MVP 3 and charging his phone off of it. Had the cord hanging out of his coat pocket, looked goofy, but hey whatever works.

Several of the crews on "Deadliest Catch" are using e-cigs. Of course Matt Bradley now owns several brick and mortar's.

Been watching humans, and one of the detectives (I think) vapes with a pen and clearomizer.

John Cusak is about the most 'active' in pushing for it's normalcy in film - the two mentioned movies, plus there's one with Ryan Phillippe called 'Reclaim' where he's donning (surprise, surprise) a black baseball cap with an eGo ecig. I have a feeling this is his 'brand' he's trying to solidify, and that's all fine by me. Anything that makes it a little more normalized, a little more natural, I'm all for it.

And I've seen screen shots of Richard from Top Gear driving with a Protank Mini on an eGo. So, there's another one.

As much as I like True Detective (and really, I do, very much) ... I hope they get over whatever 'make fun of ecigs' motif they've got going. Ech, let the lady vape.

Ever since I started vaping, catching one on TV is kind of a game I enjoy playing.

I knew clarkson used to smoke, wasn't sure if he still did. Watched a ton of top gear and never noticed sir Hammond with a vape, will have to dig further.

Here's to hoping whatever Netflix comes up with for those 3 allows them to be themselves, vaping and all.

Hollywood has a far left agenda. I wouldn't look for e-cigs to be shown favorably in the movies or on television anytime soon.

Agreed, but maybe with Netflix and some of the other kinda independent entities now we'll see some changes.
