hello, I just had a few questions about using RDA's, some specific wire type's, e-juice and high wattage Vaping.
I'd like to start with my current set-up;
I'm using an Asmodus Helve 120W Box, and I've got two imren batterie's that are green wrapped and read Max 30A - 3500MAH
Power IMR 18650 3.7V
High Drain Battery*
I've been using them for along time now and they just work great for me.
My RDA on top is a Twisted Messes RDA an I'm using some Tiger Wire coils I made. I'm not a pro at building, I actually recently just got into using RDA's because I thought tanks and nickel coils were the shit and nothing else could top the flavor they produced; I was wrong. I'm not sure the gauge of the tiger wire I am using & have more of, but it's on the thicker side - I'll include a few pictures below;
But I was using Kanthal wire from anarchist Vape before - then my friend gave me like 3 1/2 feet of this tiger wire for some juice I had;
It's been the best wire I've used so far, I twisted a set of coils up - wrapped them 6* times around this metal rod that's in my building kit, and I did pretty good I think (they are slightly off set, but they work and I can wick them just fine)
My build came in at 0.13ohms and hasn't changed since I started using them, although it does read 0.15 on my SMOK R80 when I use that - so it seems the Vape is slightly different in comparison to the Asmodus Helve at same power level (might just be due to the amount of power the BATTERYS put out/compared with interchangeable 18650's and built in batterie's with the SMOK r80, but I'm not sure about that)
I read somewhere awhile back, I think it was on here actually - that this other website has this disclaimer/warning type thing saying that Vaping with your own built coils and RDA's is not the same/not as safe as Vaping with tanks and prebuilt manufacturer coil's;
And I remember it saying that RDA's actually heat the liquid so much that it actually changes the way the liquid is vaporized - and is not safe because of that. I believe it also stated that when you use an RDA the amount of head that's applied is much greater and for that reason it's not the same, and that they believe we should only Vape like that at our own risk - basically stating that when you compare Vaping with a tank and pre built manufacturer coil Vs. a custom built set of coils on an RDA - that they are two completely different things and that the testing the scientist's are doing can only speak for tanks and the pre built manufacturer coil's. Basically saying that when we use an RDA and heat it dramatically higher than what we would do using a tank type atty - it's changing the way we Vape, and that we should only do so at our own risk - again I only vaguely remember what this post said exactly - BUT it was something along them line's, Vaping with an RDA is not as far as if we were to use a Subohm tank with manufacturer prebuilt coils with cotton stuffed in them etc.
Can anyone comment on this?
Are there any study's being done/have been done with RDA style Vaping at like 70-120watts? Of course Vaping at 70-120watts and being safe and responsible about it..like not over powering your coils and shit like that, I mean I run my current set up at anywhere from 60-110watts - my device says it's putting 2.79Volts out when I Vape at 60w, 3.01Volts at 70w, 3.22Volts at 80w, 3.42volts at 90w, 3.60Volts at 100w and 3.78Volts at 110w.
These are considered "responsible" voltage readings when Vaping this way, right? Or better yet - they are IDEAL for "what we assume to be safe" settings?
I have it in my head that if I Vape over 4.5V or anything around that that I'm not Vaping in safe boundaries. Honestly, it doesn't even feel safe when I push 4.5Volts, something about the Vapor production and cloud and heat in my chest feels wrong, or off - like it might be doing something other than what I'm actually trying to achieve.
Does that make sense?
I will look and search for the website/article I read and used as reference to my question above, but f anyone else just has an opinion or some comments about this, I'd really like to hear them.
I do notice the Vape is much better when i Vape at higher wattage, like 60-70w compared to 90-100w is very different for me - it's much more enjoyable when it's higher, well the flavor is - but that's not to say 60-70w isn't (I'm speaking specifically on my current setup with these numbers)
I have however found I get the same flavor when I use tanks at lower, much lower wattage settings when I use nickel coils & I sometimes wonder if that is a better idea for someone like me; based off what I'm talking about here - because like I said, in my head - something is telling me that anything over 4.5V or anything that's over like 80watts just isn't a good idea to do all the fucking time, lol.
I'm one of those people who sits around his house and Vapes non stop through out the day, not huge clouds all the time, but like sometimes short puffs here and long ones there, big ones small ones - I just Vape a lot - and I don't want to confuse myself with what's safe/responsible with something that just tastes better and is more enjoyable.
I need to know some of your guys opinions and ideas on this subject so maybe I can better understand what I'm trying to ask here.
Any links or articles or posting's would be really appreciated, I will do my best to find that site/warning I read about high wattage/RDA Vaping.
It was on some website that's really popular and like tons of people use - it's another forum I think.
I want to say it's e-cigarette forum?
I'll figure that out & get back to this post if i can find it.

This is the website where I read about the warning message about Vaping at HIGH WATTAGE AND HIGH VOLTAGE:
https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/
I'll have to figure out where the post/message is - but I remember this is the one.
It's like some foreign site I think - isn't it?
Like French or UK or something ?
