Vapor Flask Stout problems. ....

So I bought a Stout and started having problems with it a couple days ago. First it would not charge using the mini-usb port. Then the next morning it would not power on. I used my external 2 bay Intellicharger i2 to fully charge two 26650 batteries so I know it was fine a far as charge goes.
I really like the Stout and contacted Vape Forward with my information and they are going to exchange my mod with a new one so no problem with them. Actually really good customer service from them. Has any of you all had any similar things happen or had dealt with their customer service before?

Seems quite a high failure rate with them, heard a lot of people had to send in for replacement for different problems, mine being one of them, mine every so often when I 1st pressed the fire button would say 'device too hot' even though it had been sat not being used.

As you said the customer service was great from Vape Forward, and got a replacement very fast, but the new one the battery cover is a bit janky, when close it, it still has a gap unless I press it upwards, didn't want to risk getting another one which might have a worse problem, have just lived with the janky battery cover.

I do think the stout is a great mod, but for the price, the QC should be better.

Hate to say it but I'm glad it wasn't just me. About how long did it actually take once you sent them the original? Do you think that they replace with rebuilds or new products? Did it come in the black box too?

I sent mine on a Friday, I got replacement the following Wednesday, they did say they would test out the new one before they sent it out, but could've just said that because they do send out refurbed one's, can't believe they just throw away the ones they get back.

I sent mine back in the box, and I believe they just put the replacement in that box and sent it back to me.

That's kinda what I figured they did. As long as it works though I'll be happy. Was really pleased with it while it worked, lol.

I got the "too hot' message a few times. for me it was a couple old beat up 26650's that were the issue. When I used a new 26650 (a Sony VTC BTW), it didn't have any issues. I did upgrade mine to the new 2.0 firmware on the wismec site.

I've only been using 18650's in mine for the month I've had it and so far it's been perfect. Sorry to hear about the problems you're having but glad to hear their customer service is good.

It's a bummer for sure. It's my first true mod and like I said really enjoy it. Actually looking at some mech mods now though. A simple design with little to go wrong. Not sure of which to go with though. I'm using a Artic tank and ordering a Crown in just a sec. Will they work well with a 26650 style mech mod?

I am new to all this but feel like I've done my fair share of research. With that said here's what I've learned... Do not use mech mods that have a hybrid top (I.e. Battery come in direct contact with atty) with tanks! It could blow up! Google a few YouTube vids. You'll gain new respect for what you're messing with. Besides that personally I feel they are inferior for all day use. Also I like to be able to bring out different flavor notes by messing with the wattage. That's something you can't easily do with a Mech.

Just picked up a Cuboid 150w upgraded to 200w today. My Artic does great on top of it too! Seems to be a well built mod. It'll make the problem with my Stout a little more bearable.
