Vaporjoes Canada turns the heat up on Aspire

"In the wake of the wild success of the new subohm Aspire Atlantis tank, we’ve seen an old controversy come crashing back into the spotlight…. of course we’re talking about the concerns regarding the safety of the silica wicking material in the Atlantis heads. Recently discussed on the Mod Envy Christmas special, the Atlantis is raising concerns because of the ultra-fine silica shards present in the wicking material. Users are finding chunks of it completely missing in used heads, and there’s a legitimate question to be asked…. where is it going, and what are the health implications for users?"

I am going out on a limb here and saying it is DANGEROUS!
Walt has a good point, to those of the community ignoring anyone without PHDs and other alphabet letters after their names are doing themselves and others a disservice, a damn dangerous and liable diservice.
While having those titles is nice every single one of us with over a year and a half of vaping could be considered an expert with well over 10,000 hours spent with our hobby, let alone someone who works in this medium or exposure in a job setting.

To ignore the fact it is it shredded particles that
A. Silica is a KNOWN damaging particle. This one is on the level of being able to defeat all but the best HEPA filters, and seriously expensive full mask respirators for heavy industry usages.

B. It is about harm reduction, not introducing a harm producing element. Let it be shoddy chrome plated brass, toxic elements added to juice, lead tainted copper paint on unknown soft metals, or shredded unknown origin glass particles in a questionable pack job.

C. the total trust in china NOT just dumping whatever toxic bullshit into products for American consumption. Plastic bits in pet food, melanine in baby formula and of course contact toxic amounts of lead on kid toys.

A bit of common sense goes a long way and the "well I smoked for blah blah" excuse will not carry much weight.
