I received this kit from vaptio for the purpose of this review. The following is an account of my experience and opinion.
The vex100 is a single cell (18650, 20700 or 21700) mod, capable of 7w-100w; and, does not have temperature limiting. While, I love my dna and yihi, tc mods, I also thoroughly enjoy the simplicity and effectiveness of power only mods. When I opened the box I was impressed with the size and form factor of the mod. The mod is stable down to a 0.05 Ohm build.

VEX 100 Mod
Paragon Tank
Paragon Coil - Mesh 0.2Ω (Pre-installed)
Paragon Coil - Strip 0.15Ω
18650 Battery Adapter
Micro USB Cable
User Manual
Silicon gel condiment pack
It is fairly evident that the intent of this mod is to be used with a 2x700 mod cell, however, it does have the 18650 adapter. I used it with ijoy 20700s and was fairly imopressed at the run the time with a 0.3 ohm single coil at around 50w. The size of this mod is perfect for a grab and go or pocket carry mod; which, I found quite enjoyable compared to my dual battery boxes or squonk boxes. The convenience of something so small and pocket friendly is a welcome asset at times.
So what size is it?
34.5 deep (1.35 in)
31.5 wide (1.24 in)
88.7 tall (3.49 in)
While I do use the tank, and it performs well, I mostly use rebuildable atomizers. So we will get to the tank a bit later in this writing. I found a single coil atomizer to offer the best performance for both vape quality and power conservation in this case. The placement of the 510 is such that a 25mm will sit flush at the front of the mod.

Viewing the mod head on, the tear drop overall shape comes to resemble a tube mod.
How are the aesthetics of the mod?
I don’t normally discuss aesthetics as beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder. However, the mod does not have an in-depth menu. So. we may as well bring it up in this case. It comes in red, blue, black and purple. The mod is shaped like a side ways tear drop. The one side being wider then it narrows to a point with the buttons and and charge port. The wider side fits very well in the palm and almost gives it a natural ergonomic fit.
Personally, I like red, and the one they sent me has a red body and a black top portion where the display is housed. Additionally, the mod has a hinged bottom battery door. The door is affixed well with very minimal movement after the 4 weeks of my using it

The buttons are quite tactile and only protrude from mod body by about 1 mm, making them easy to find. The two adjustment buttons are on the bottom, just above the charge port, and the fire button is up top. They are placed in a reasonably intuitive location.

What were you saying about the display?
The display almost resembles something from a 1970s-1980s clock radio. It has a large digital display for the power setting, which adjusts in one watt increments and accelerates fast. Thankfully it does accelerate fast, since there is no round robin feature.

The battery display is interesting to say the least. There is no percentages but rather ranges, which goes along with the no frills intent of this device.
1 tick= 0-20%
2 ticks= 21-40%
3 ticks= 41-60%
4 ticks= 61-80%
5 ticks= 81-100%

To use the mod you simply click the fire button 5 times and the display will light up and say “on.” To turn it off click it another 5 times and the display will say “off.” If there is no atomizer or a short it will show a parenthesis; or, open circuit.
The mod fires very fast and is quite comfortable in the hand. It is also quite light and appears to have a nice build quality. It did survive my drop test, off the deck and onto the driveway. I have thoroughly enjoyed this mod thus far; and expect it will get ample use when out running errands or running around town. It is a great performer and fires fairly accurately from what I can tell without ample test equipment.
What are the pros and cons of the mod?
Pros
Size
Available power
Lack of TC
Placement of buttons and charge port
Comfortable to hold and use
Cons
Lack of firmware upgradeability
Placement of 510 – I wish It were pushed back enough to fit a 28mm atty
Lack of TC
