Vaseline my o-ring (Cleito) ?

My Cleito was getting leaky on me, sometimes I could pour out a half mL thru the air intake.

I wanted to determine if it was leaking thru the wick/coil area or around the base o-ring so I tried lubing the o-ring with vaseline in an attempt to try and 'fill' any small gaps there.
Much to my surprise, when I screwed the coil back in, it went the normal depth and then another maybe 1/8 turn. I wiped up the base area of any vaseline (dont want it in the juice.. isnt it flammable ?).. and lo and behold it's been 3 days now and not a drop coming thru the vents.

Of all the threads Ive read about leaking Cleito's, Ive never come across anyone saying to lube the o-ring for possibly a better/tighter seal. So, hopefully if this fix holds, it can help someone.

Maybe someone can chime in if they think using vaseline is not the best.. perhaps plumber's grease is better or what else ?

(edit to change "vasoline" to "vaseline")

Vasoline is a petroleum distillate. It will degrade the O-rings, plus it is not safe to use in an atomizer for obvious reasons. A suggestion is to get another oring and just use juice or straight VG.

I wiped up the 'deck' area around the base of the coil with a q-tip, but in retrospect I should have used 99% alcohol or vodka perhaps.
So, I could have used my "Au Naturel" 70/30 (with nic) as a lube ?

Hopefully the vaseline doesnt break down the ring too much so that I'll be in for a fight when I change out the coil in the future.
