Very little vapor from new mech mod

Hello there,

I recently bought a new mech mod (Gmodz Square Mod Clone) and it produces very little vapor compared to my box mod (IPV4S). I tested out my box mod at around 3.5 Volts ( 41 Watts at 0.3 Ohm) and I managed to blow some fairly decent clouds and the flavor was amazing. However, my mech mod (with a LGDBHE41865 battery) which is supposed to run at 3.7 volts. The mech mod shouldnt have too much voltage drop but the vapor production is comparable to 30 watts on my IPV4s. I have the same type of batteries in my Box Mod and they are all fully charged. I'm using the same dripper with the same build on both mods but this is quite disappointing. Ill post some pictures of the vapor production on each device. Thanks for the help!

Sorry for mediocre english.12325900_10206005190718743_1552803677_o.jpg 12874399_10206005188198680_1031417917_o.jpg

What was your question?
Then I would be using the IPV :)
Moving to Mech mod area

My question would be, why is the vapor production on the mech so little compared to the one on the mod

battery is like stated the LGBHE18650 and the build is 26 gauge 7 wrap around that little blue screw driver that comes with most tanks and rdas. 0.3 ohm

You have to remember, that when you calculate for a mech, other things come into play, such as battery sag, which will occur on all devices when you fire it-it is just the way things work when you press fire and the battery is outputting power. The lower the build, the more sag too in general.

Your regulated mod, will always compensate by drawing more amps from your battery to keep the wattage you have set, no matter the voltage of the actual battery during its cycle (unless you are using very high wattage and it can no longer output that amount-then it will reduce power you are getting).

You mention your mech at 3.7V- this is your batteries nominal voltage, at full charge it should be 4.2V.
I may be misreading, if so I apologise.

At 0.3, I find myself that vapour output is never as good as a regulated device at the same wattage(near, but not dead the same), I enjoy my mechs, don't get me wrong, but I do much prefer regulated.

Is there a reason you want to get into mechs? I only ask as a regulated mod offers so much more-I know mechs are enjoyed by many people though, myself included, as they are simple, and unlikely to break, keeping safety into consideration. But-if you are not enjoying the mech, I would stick to regulated.

A .3 build on a 4.2 V battery should yield 58.8 watts and draw 14 amps.

That doesn't take into account of battery sag or the possibility of dirty-ish connections.

If you are worried about the lack of vapor, then maybe a regulated device is for you, not a mech.
