Heh, I had a feeling that Lagertha wasn't going to die this week. Something was going intervene on her behalf, be it the coup being hatched by Harald and Halfdan or Bjorn returning home to have her back. It turns out, Bjorn was the one to make the save, barking down his half-brothers who tried to take on the new Queen in lethal combat.
Frankly though, I'm not sure they stood a fair chance. Yeah, it was two-on-one, but Ivar had limitations and Largertha's freakin' Lagertha. She stood a really decent chance of killing them both. Anyhow, it just didn't seem feasible that we'd lose Aslaug, Ragnar and Lagertha -- those three -- all in such a short stretch. Lagertha's exact fate also isn't tethered to history so the series can do whatever it likes with her creatively.
