Voltage question

New to vaping.. Just bought a new kangertech topbox mini. Works great and love it but am using some 12mg juice and someone said to go to a 1.2 coil. So i bought some kangertech ssocc coils that are supposed to work fine in this tank. My question is that when I install the coil and run it at about 25watts the volts on the screen goes to about 5v. Now i have 3.7v lg batt. and i am wondering if this is right or am i gonna grenade the batt. When i looked on the coil it says rated for 10-25 watts. When i first used it at 37 watts the volts went as high as 7.5?
Is this dangerous or how am i getting 7.5volts out of a 3.7v batt.

Don't worry too much about the voltage you see on the screen
The kanger chip is regulating ur battery, like I said
UR SAFE!
The only time you worry about ur battery capabilities is when you use mech mods...

well when i put 1.2 ohm and 25w in ohms law calc. i get about 5.4??? is it possible that this is what the vape is showing me and yet the batt is still only providing 4.2v? Is this hard on anything
