Hello there fellow vaping enthusiasts.
Little pod device will be looking into today, these folks from Voopoo keep on delivering vaping apparatus to fill your vaping needs.
Unboxing and first impressions:
Voopoo knows their stuff and it shows in the packaging, nothing fancy or high end but it is well presented and it includes everything you need to start your vaping voyage.
Holding the pod you just have to admire the design,i got the Seashell White and it just looks classy and stylish, this is a pod you will want to show off to your friends.
Also in the box you get the usual accoutrement you get in a pod kit, instruction manual, warranty, type C charging cable and in this case 2 cartridges one rated at 0.4 and the other at 0.7.
This time i did find some nic salts at home so i will use the nic salts with the 0.7 ohm coil and my regular freebase with the 0.4 coil.
Cartridges hold 3ml of e-liquid,just lift the rubber tabby thingy, fill them up and then wait at least 10 minutes so the coils get well soaked and lubricated with e-liquid.
While them coils get lubricated let us get a closer look at the Vmate E2,this may seem like a heavier pod than usual but don't forget this has a 1.500mAh battery which is quite good for a pod of these characteristics.
Thanks to the Type-C 5V/2A charging you will go from 0 to 100% in about 40 minutes and change, usb port is located at the bottom of the device.
While we talking about the bottom you will have some trouble when you try to leave it in a vertical position,it can be done but you need to do it slowly, base just isn't big/wide/gripy enough to be able to do it fast.
This is an auto draw pod so it doesn't have a fire button, not going to need it anyway the VMATE E2 has the auto draw on lock,i mean this thing fires right away and after some days of use still performs admirably.
On the right side of the pod you do have a small screen where you will be able to see the state of the battery and that's about it. You also have some nice LED lights but those only turn on when vaping or inserting a cartridge.
The top cap looks cool, its an extra barrier to protect your mouthpiece of foreign substances and will keep your mouthpiece clean and fresh.
Vaping time:
Starting with the 0.7 ohm cartridge with some 20mg nic salts, airflow fully open and lets see how it goes.
Ok very decent cloud production and flavor wise it does hit the spot, with the airlflow fully open you get a tight RDL but when i close the airflow all the way then yeah we entering MTL territory.
As you must know by now i am not an MTL vaper and nic salts? well meh they just agree with me but i gotta say the VMATE E2 in MTL ''mode'' does deliver the goods.
Time to give the 0.4 ohm coil a try,i am directly comparing this to the PNP X 0.3 ohm i use with the Doric 60 PRO on a daily basis.
Using my Cucurucho Lima-Limon from Pecatto Originale and oh boy this really is good.
Airflow fully open and i get a decent cloud production keeping in mind this device only goes up to 30 watts, flavor is top notch and it really brings out all the flavor profile of my e-liquid of choice.
Vaping wise the RDL was a bit lacking, not in quality but in heat, hit and cloud production i kept on going over to the Doric 60 PRO for just a quick puff.
This isn't a bad thing, just that this device has been designed for MTL and RDL in mind,i like my RDL with a bit more powah!! and cloud production.
PROS:
-Aesthetic wise the VMATE E2 just looks plain cool, even the white/gold i got looks beautiful
-Simple to use
-Good battery size
-Coils deliver the flavor
-Sturdy,well designed
CONS:
-Only con i can come up with is the top cap and this is just a personal thing.
If I'm working or gaming i just have to leave it off because i need to be able to vape just using the one hand.
While the top cap is a good idea but for folks that vape while they work or do other activities i don't know if they will get use to the top cap.
Would i recommend this device?:
On looks and performance alone the answer is a resounding YES!!
Now on daily using principle well depends the type of work you have or your vaping habits, you might have to use the VMATE E2 without the top cap otherwise its just going to be a pain to remove the top cap everything you want a vape.
I have mine on my desk while i type this review and its there with the top cap off, easier to just grab it and take a puff instead of having to use both hands.
Thanks to Voopoo for sending me the VMATE E2 for review purposes, and thanks for everyone for taking the time to read my review.
cheers
