VTC mini Bypass mode, what is it ?

Hey guys,
I just got myself a new VTC mini. It's smooth, cool and everything. But i have that Bypass Mode as option and I don't know what it is, can someone clarify that up for me ?
What is Bypass mode? what is it used for ? what ares the pros and the cons etc...

It's simply a setting that allows you to use the voltage and current of the battery directly without any boosting or bucking of the voltage. It bypasses the circuitry of the mod. It's used primarily when you have a dripper or rebuildable setup that needs more than 75 watts of regulated power.

I read somewhere that it doesn't completely bypass all the circuitry. There are still supposed to be some protections in place, not like a mech mod. Right?

Short circuit, battery safety, shorted atomizer, and low atomizer resistance are still enabled.

Thanks. I'm guessing that comes at a cost, ie; voltage drop. I have one of those gathering dust, never tried the bypass mode, will have to see how it performs.
